Banned from Zeropark (11)

Banned from Zeropark

Hi,

I've been using Zeropark without problems during the last year but today I've been direct banned due one affiliate link that it seems rotated one "tech support" landing without my permission.

Is there anything I could do to recover my account? I'm just promoting mobile offers and don't know how to avoid my affiliate network to "put" il·legal landing pages for Zeropark.

Best regards,
Francesc

Just explain the situation and tell them it won't happen again I guess. If you account is 1+ year old they may reconsider.
If you are using some rotating link over which you have no control, it can happen.

It can also work the other way around, I got banned from an affiliate programme because I sent them traffic from some copyright-infringing website via ZP.
In the worst case, create a new ZP account registered in your friend's name I guess..

Yeah, I tried to explain and they will give me another chance. It's a very kind of them.

Thanks for your help!

Best regards
Francesc

Glad to hear you got a second chance! Let's see if we could avoid having the same happen in the future.

Are you running an offer-rotator link like afflow?

Or is your aff network redirecting the traffic to other offers because a part of the traffic you were sending, was not acceptable for the offer you were running?

In the former case: Many offer rotators allow you to tinker with settings so you can exclude aggressive offers/landers - like tech support stuff.

If it's the latter case, you can ask your aff network to turn off the auto-redirection. It's a measure they have in place to maximize revenues, but quite frankly based on all the issues I've seen (such as yours), this kind of arrangement can do more harm than good.

Ah - you were arbitraging between traffic networks!

The reason you got banned was properly because this is against their TOS?

Good morning Amy,

No, the reason was one concrete landing page/offer that Propellerads has in their rotator.
Zeropark has strong policies against "tech support offers", that kind of fake landings that says "Your computer's got virus, call Microsoft now.

Propellerads was rotating one of this landing pages, Zeropark detected it and direct banned me.

Best regards,
Francesc

Just FYI, it didn't even have to be a landing page "from propeller" at all, could have been a buyer of their traffic. These are things that you will never have control over, while doing arbitrage. Some networks are better at policing what they send traffic to, with some others it's very lenient, so the amount of such problems largely depends on the network that you send the traffic to. Been there, done that

Hey Guys,

Please remember that we have to follow strict guidelines relating to visitor experience. Under these guidelines 'Tech Support' is strictly prohibited as it is harmful to our business relationships and could cause us to lose many high-quality sources.

We are always working to improve the compliance at Zeropark so we can deliver more high-quality traffic to the campaigns. Recently, as you may have noticed, we have implemented Google safe browsing scans - to keep both sides, supply and demand, protected.

Thanks for your understanding.

Best Regards,
ZP Compliance Team

You do realize that google safe browsing often flags sites that are pretty much legit, right? I hope you give users banned based on these "often false" flags a second chance

Hey Matuloo,

Thanks for your input. Yes, we do realize that. We don't automatically ban users based on GSB flags. Bans are confirmed after careful investigation for malware, ransomware, tech support and other prohibited advert types.

When an advertiser's campaigns are flagged, the campaigns are automatically rejected to protect the advertiser's budget. Automatic campaign rejection due to GSB flags are for the benefit of our advertisers budgets as well as the security of our partners.

Kind Regards,
ZP Compliance Team
