Funnelflux COST update (manual and cost per entrance)

Hi, I just started using FunnelFlux and I am loving it so far

Just one quick question, for FunnelFlux, there is an option to update Cost Per Entrance (so I usually tally this with my CPM. Eg $3 CPM so my cost per entrance is 0.003)
I am running mobile pop, so the click loss for me is about 20%

So the traffic costs in FF are not accurate (-20% lesser) as 20% of the clicks gets lost somewhere

My question is, for accurate cost reporting, if I am already using Cost Per Entrance input, do I still need to do MANUAL COST UPDATE?
Because I have tried it and it doesn't seem to be overriding the Cost Per Entrance input when showing campaign stats (or maybe I did something wrong)

Example: if I put 0.003 Cost Per Entrance, and I buy 12,000 impressions from Traffic Source, so the cost I pay in the TS is $36 (0.003 x 12,000)
I get 10,000 impressions in FF, so the cost for that campaign as documented by FF is $30

To have more accurate cost reporting, is it possible for me to Manually update that extra +$6 through MANUAL COST UPDATE in FF?
Or does MANUAL COST UPDATE override the current Cost Per Entrance info?

How do you also account for the cost by click loss?

Any help is appreciated!
Thank you so much!!

Since you comment on here, here are my 2cents, since their support is slow and "let me talk to the development team" on this.

You are right, their "update cost function" does not work any more, I presume it has been messed up from their most recent updates. I have FF since last year and up to May it HAD BEEN WORKING just fine, never an issue.

Same thing with the filters, they ALSO do not work any more. When entering ISPs, for instance Facebook or Amazon, to be filtered through and not have those bot clicks skew the stats, they are still coming thru and get recorded as normal clicks. ALSO it was not an issue up until last month.

Hey guys, I'm using flux as well and dynamic cost update with tokens or fixed cpm is working just the way it works on Thrive and Voluum. To have an accurate cost on running camps it has to be updated manually like it is being done on most trackers.

I would factor in the clickloss from the start. So in your example I’d put down 0.0036.

This way you don’t need to run manual cost updates, unless you prefer to have the costs 100% correct.

But yes it’s also possible to account for the extra $6 afterwards by running a manual cost update.
To be clear: the manual cost update will “correct” your stats on past clicks and make sure that your past costs are 100% correct.
It does not update your Cost per Entrance setting on your funnel setup which applies to future clicks.

I’m on the latest version and cost updates work fine for me here.
I use the “Adjust Total Traffic’s Costs” method so perhaps there’s an issue with one of the other options.

Generally, I would advise always using "cost of total traffic" for certain periods to make cost updating less prone to inaccuracies from click loss. If you update based on the price of each visit/entrance, you're virtually never going to get accurate results for a large set of data.
