Question: Are there risks running advertising with my wife's FB account, using her credit card? It would be the same IP address as my main account?
Should I just skip that and get a completely different account?
i would setup and advertiser only account without a profile using your wifes cc..so in case it gets banned..she doesn't loose her personal account
Or maybe create another personal FB account for her? I don't think this is going to be an issue, I'll probably will have to rely on my loved ones' names and CCs soon too :P
I would grab a unique IP though to separate them, would hate for 1 to get banned and potentially pull them both down.
I'm 99% you don't lose personal accounts, but i wouldn't take the risk. Open up a biz account, and do it from there. You can even use a prepaid CC, or get a new CC from a different bank to play it extra safe.
The other problem is your using the same IP (same IP isn't a huge problem, but again it's a risk). Most importantly separate your accounts!
IP hasn't been an issue for me. You can still use prepaid CC's tho??? I'll go buy a stack today lol... Any particular brand that facebook prefers..?
My personal account is still working although my advertiser account got banned...
When you go for multiple CC's, do you also change the name, address etc. for that? Would be interesting to know how FB does it because often times sites run a fraud check and if they detect that the name doesn't match the name on card, they'll reject it.
not sure if you guys are aware of this or not...name on the credit card doesn't matter unless they want a scanned copy of your cc, which is not common practice
I've tried this quite a few times and have had no problem at all. If the name on my cc is "John Smith" and I use a fake name "Joe Average" for my transactions, it will go through as long as the cc numbers and expiry date are correct...
so it should be quite easy to set up a new account on FB(or any other platform) using "Joe Average" instead of "John Smith"...
I can vouch you dont lose personal account they just ban the advertising tab
