Tier 1 geo with banner traffic (4)

My AM has asked me about running an app that needs to pass device ID. As I understand it this is not an option with pop traffic (correct me if i'm wrong) but is with banner traffic (provided the source has the token to pass). I was told previously that website banner traffic doesn't really work in Tier 1 geos. I am assuming if I want to run this app I need to do in-app traffic. Can anyone name some decent traffic sources that they have had success with in Tier 1 geos that allow you to pass device ID. I'd love to test a few this week. Cheers guys!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you can only get the device ID when you install something on it, so like an app. I might be wrong though, but in case I'm not, banner traffic will not help you.

BTW: banner traffic doesn convert with app installs in any GEO, the problem is, the bid prices will make it very hard to reach profits. I've pushed a ton of app installs on adwrods banner traffic in the past, but it pretty much died at some point - due to high CPC and the lower CVR I was seeing.

Damn - not what I was hoping to hear. Just to clarify - I put up banner selling an ap to install, they click, they install, and GAID or IDFA gets passed. Thats what I meant. Does anyone else have any other feelings on the matter or is banner traffic near impossible? PS thanks for your opinion Matuloo.

I'm not 100% sure about the process, but I'd say what you described is more or less what I believe the process would look like - once you can get them to install something on their device, you should be able to pull the ID.
