Has anyone run quiz landers on Adwords/search?

Hey,

I'm selling supplements (straight-sales at high price points, so there's a lot of pre-selling involved).

I'd like to split my demo up by gender and age so I can customize the landing page copy, but the problem is that Adwords only knows the gender of about 10% of their traffic, and similarly they only know the age of about 10%.

I'm considering making a quiz ("Best Garcinia Cambogia in 2017? Take this quiz for a personalized recommendation before you waste your money") to segment all that 'Unknown' traffic before they hit my lander.

But I've never seen anyone running a quiz on adwords so I'm not too optimistic.

Any advice or experience?

Thanks

I have been running quiz on Adwords for 5 years now, I have run nearly $4 million in adspend through the funnel, a lot of the quiz stuff you see on facebook / adwords and those sweeps pops is my lander that has been ripped and modified.

There is a lot of really good stuff that can be done with this funnel, because of all the extra data you get you can tailor the results page to the user, for example you may find that certain copy, designs and heroshots work well for an age group of 65+ but works terrible for a younger demographic.

If you need any help or advice on this please add me on skype

Thank you. That's great to hear and makes me more optimistic. I've started buying traffic to my LP.

I've added you on skype so we can chat sometime at your convenience.

Cheers

Hi!
Yeah, it's possible, and it converts always better than sending your traffic straight to the offer.
Definitely worth testing.

Hi,
I have been promoting vitamine quizzes using Adwords for a customer of mine, a vitamin webstore for a year or so now.
Prospects go through the quiz and they get their recommendation in their email. The recommendation is reasonably honest, if they probably don't need vitamines the email also says that.
If they could possible need some vitamines then they get offered a free sample that will last a week.
After the week they get a follow up email to ask if they liked the sample and if they would like to order some more.
So this is only very mildly pushing and I think this is only profitable because the webshop is directly involved.
