Chinese traffic sources - WeChat etc

Does anyone have any experience working with WeChat, Sina Weibo, Toutiao and so on? Looks like there is a lot of potential for scale (and great targeting options)

found a good entry level guide the other day: https://walkthechat.com/advertising-on-wechat-moment/

Yeah I've been interested in getting into wechat but the barrier that holds me back is registering a chinese company.

This is amazing, thanks. I've been quoted numbers like a minimum investment of £20k to go into a joint venture with a Chinese ad agency on a managed service, which is not ideal but might be better than gambling on incorporating before you know if you can turn a profit there...

Yeah that might be the alternative route. The problem is to advertise there they want licenses for practically everything. Not sure how that would work as an affiliate since you're the middle man and technically don't own the product but you simply endorse it. Yeah I've been quoted similar amounts - £12k-25k. I have a quarrel with JV'ing with chinese ad agencies as they want margin ontop of the minimum adspend wechat want. But the minimum CPC has kinda put me off too...minimum cpc you'll pay there is 0.07$ if you went down the cpc route and minimum cpm is $3.55 (roughly) which for an untested market, sounds a bit dangerous.
