TONIC limiting account spend to 200$ a day without reason.

Hey,

Any tonic representative here? I was spending 1000$/day since a week on TONIC. running RON traffic to some direct campaigns with negative targeting. This week I suddenly got an email from them stating :

As you are aware our compliance team make periodic checks on accounts and due to some security concerns regarding your account your Daily Cap was decreased.

Its been 7 days I am trying to get in touch with them and had my guys meet them at AWE , Berlin as well. Still, they wont respond. Is there any representative of TONIC. in here at STM who can fix this issue out? We already have big advertiser budgets and can spend great volumes, provided they remove the CAP from the account.

Has anyone else faced this issue as well? If yes, how did you get this resolved?
Also, any network that has domain redirect traffic of the quality of TONIC.?

Ouch, that's weird.

I never had issues like this with them, but I wasn't doing so much volume there, so they might take a deeper look on those accounts with higher volume.

It still doesn't make sense to cut their profits

I would try to talk with them, even better if you met some of their reps on AWA or AWE events might help a bit.

Good luck on this one!

Tonic is now setting most accounts at $200 daily spend caps. They figure anything over that and there is a large chance your doing something shady (cloaking...etc). Even if you have $20,000 in established account spend and email them for a bump they may respond back in 3 days saying "sorry cant do it"

@milehighclub That's... really unfortunate. My company is advertising in ~16 different countries. Hitting $200 in daily spend is as little as half a day for one of those... Is there any way to re-apply for a spending bump? Will they block you if you create multiple accounts on the same IP?

I didn't know they are doing this. This is really bad. Though still better than banning your account.

Thanks for the response guys.

I tried creating new account.. And they banned it within 2 days.
Tried emailing them many times, similar rude replies.

our compliance team are going to keep the daily cap at 200$ for the foreseeable future.

Should this not be in your best interest we can of course look at closing the account and refunding the remaining balance.

Please let us know how you wish to proceed.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to your feedback.

Kind regards,

TONIC. support
I dont know whats wrong with these guys. Also met them at AWE and Affiliate summit. The guys there said , we cant do anything, only the security team would get back to you on their own. There is no one from the security team over here.

Any estimate as to after how much time they lift the limit?

Did you try to send them a message on FB? https://www.facebook.com/TONICcom/?hc_ref=SEARCH

Hey Issac,

I sent them a message on twitter, FB, Linkedin( To their director) , and emailed support as well.
They only say they can not lift the cap due to security issues from all these sources. Also had my guys meet them F to F at the Affiliate world EU , Berlin.
What more can we do!!
