Now I'm not sure how many of you use BoostCTR, but it really is a great way to increase your skill in copywriting ads across a variety of markets, without spending your own money.
Today I am going to show you two ads I wrote that killed the previous contender. First, which ad do you think is best:
Car Rental Deals
Get Great Rates On Car Rentals.
Compare 100s Of Cars And Save Now.
www.KAYAK.com/RentalCars
OR
Deals On Car Rentals
Save Money On Your Next
Car Rental. Compare Rates.
www.KAYAK.com/RentalCars
...
Both go to the exact same campaign, same lander, same keywords - only the ad is different.
Well, the second ad (mine) beat the first ad by 100%
How about this example:
Save on Rifle Scopes
Widest Selection of Rifle Scopes.
Save on Scopes Here!
midwayusa.com/scopes
vs.
Discount Rifle Scopes
Why pay more? Get the same, new
rifle scopes at a better price
midwayusa.com/DiscountRifleScopes
...
The second ad (also mine) beat the first ad by 50%.
If you are wondering why some people can pay so much per click, it's because of split testing and getting your CTR higher and higher to lower your CPC, and compete in those tough markets.
TEST Everything. Those ads aren't very different - but even small changes can change your campaign from a loser to a winner.
Ask yourself:
1) Is the ad clear?
2) Does it get the RIGHT people to click?
3) Does it sound compelling?
If not, scrap the ad and write a better one.
Best of luck, and please don't forget the thanks button below
I applied to boostctr a few weeks ago and have never heard from them---I guess they've got too many applicants lol...
cool service to improve ad writing skill for sure.
going to sign up! as writers, you get to see how much you improved the ad? only for those who participated in the contest though right?
@topgun - just shoot them an email or phone call
@harrypotter - I believe it is anyone who views contest history
What are the prices? I couldn't see without signing up for a free trial.
For writers it's free
Most vendors pay between $5 and $35 for a winning ad
From what I see in this 2 case studies, it is very obvious to tell the winner if you have read ca$hvertising before.
Both studies, on ad 1, they didn't tell the visitor "WHAT IS IN FOR ME?" in the header. Meanwhile, in ad 2, we can clearly see it.
"Save $100 on your next auto insurance deal" is ALWAYS better than "Save big with our many insurance choices!"
Not trying to be a guru here but this is what I've learnt and studied so I thought I would share what I perceived in this affiliate marketing journey. Hope it helps in anyway. =)
Cashvertizing = must read for any affiliate
