Tips on selling softcore Sex Game

Hey STM!

I am just starting out with online marketing and trying to find my place in adult content advertising. I am trying to sell an online sex game. Basically a browser based 3D sex dice compatible with mobile and desktop. This game is not hardcore sex game. No tits or anything. Sex positions are depicted with silhouettes and overall the product is aesthetically pleasing. I would love to post a link, but I am not sure if I am allowed to. If I am, I will make an update. Sex game is subscription based -$5/month and cheaper for longer periods.

My first 2 campaigns were on reddit. This is the report:

-20k views on iOS USA, $0.52 eCPM,1.5% CTR, 0 sales
-20k views desktop USA, $0.32 eCPM, 0.1% CTR, 0 sales

Both of them run on r/gonewild, r/realgirls, r/bustypetite.

As you can see I am having a hard time selling it. Clearly reddit isn’t a place to go. I think my problem is that my content isn’t hardcore enough to be for the porn public, but at the same time it falls under adult and thus disabling me from reaching regular couples. What would be your recommendation on advertising this product?

UPDATE: this is the link to the game https://sexdiceapp.com

First thing that occurs to me - you need to advertise to people who HAVE an active sex life. People browsing /r/gonewild are... not guaranteed to fit that description :-)

Reddit could still work. Try sub reddits offering sex advice, for example - /r/sex etc.

Thanks for replying. The problem is that most of sex advice subreddits aren't marked as nsfw. You can't advertise adult on r/sex for example.

Best suggestion there: contact them and see what you can manage to negotiate.

It's possible that there's just no way to advertise sex-related products on /r/sex, but my guess is they'll just need you to massage the copy and image somewhat. I've certainly seen sex life-related products advertised on sex advice subreddits before.

Post the link here, it will be easier to give you advice that way

This type of content could do well on erotic stories sites in my opinion, sites like literotica.com could have good traffic for that. These users are hard to convert with the typical stuff, but since they love to tease their fantasies with written erotica, they might bite for a game too. The problem with sites like literotica is that they don't seem to sell their inventory to any traffic network, so a private deal would be needed. Try to contact them and see whether you can come up with something.

Another option could be buying TABS : so like menu items, I think traffichaus had some for sale. Or you can contact site owners directly, for example the owner of morazzia.com used to sell links in the left column...

Members area traffic is another option, but that's so expensive that Im afraid you won't be able to use it with that low monthly price of yours.

Anyways, let's show me the product and I can try to give you more tips.

Thank you both. I will contact these sites.

In the mean time, I've ordered some video testimonials. Can't go wrong with those

I also updated the question with the link to the website. If you hate scrolling: https://sexdiceapp.com

Videos could definitely help, actually I think an auto-play video at the top of the page would help you a lot. To be honest, I still don't know what the game is about, even after seeing the page. I'd probably close it if I was a regular surfer ... you need to grab the attention of your visitors straight away.

These sexy products need to be more VISUAL, throw it into the face of your visitors. Your product is labeled as ADULT anyways, so why hold yourself back?
