What niches perform well with media buying?
I'm starting with a lead-gen PC software offer, but I'm curious to know what areas experienced buyers would recommend.
Anything can do well with media buying. It depends on your traffic source and the quality of your creatives.
That's like asking "what niches do well on the internet." There is no correct answer.
Obviously niches with broad appeal are more likely to generate higher revenues and perform better on more sites.
If you were trying to sell wheelchairs for midgets it would be tough, since you are limited to midget traffic, wheelchair traffic or somewhere in the mix. At the stage I would recomend you pay more attention to search traffic.
However, if know your product can appeal to at least 50% of viewers on certain websites then it's worth a pop.
Diet, Biz Opp, Auto Insurance, Games, Dating, Teeth Whitening , Skin are all niches that have broad appeal (coincidentally they kick ass with media buying too).
Agreed with Mr Green. Broad appeal niches do best IMO (I prefer them due to scale, so you can make more)
But we have tons of users/data that shows that small niche media buys can work and be highly profitable. I've ran some very niche low spend (like $100/mo) high margin (like $3000/mo profit) buys in very small niches before.
Media buying is internet wide, there's space for everything, just try something...
