So Facebook won't ban you for doing something like this?

I do not personally even tho I think I should but IME it is very important for the first one or two comments to be, at least kinda positive. It kinda sets the tone for the rest and it cannot go too bad thenceforth unless the ad is really annoying or misleading. I will usually hide and/or ban any first negative comments till those I want show up. Then I usually let it go.

ps. the rate of emoticons is important too, as in how many smiley vs. angry faces there are on the ad

I always comment on my ads. People like to read comments before clicking an ad. If they find positive comments, it is likely to higher the CR.

I am pretty sure this is quite common. Like Amazon vendors giving themselves 5 stars for their products. I would just urge to proceed with caution however.

iv'e tried this in the past and the ad went down after 17 or so rapid comments/likes/shares from different accounts. don't do it too fast or fb algo will pick it up and flag your ad...
