POP campaign, high CTR, no conversions (8)

POP campaign, high CTR, no conversions

I'm running pop campaigns at Clickadu and PropellerAds in Kenya with 4 different landers for 3 antivirus offers in Mobidea. After ~10k impressions total, I only got one conversion, although the CTR on all of my landers is as high as 70%. I've doublechecked the Mobidea reports and visitors are indeed getting to the offer pages, but they just don't convert. I also have a couple of similar campaigns in South Africa and Malaysia that don't convert either, both with CTR >30%.

Am I missing something? I can't check the offer pages myself since I don't have a VPN in any of those countries. Should I just look for another offer because those don't work?

Hello!

Actually CTR is not the main thing in your campaigns. And it can be absolutely normal when your campaign has 1% CTR or 90%. It depends on many parameters: Source/GEO/Lander etc...

Could you please show us your tracker's stat? Need to look at your data: Cost, Profit, ROI. Also you have 3 offers and 4 landers. So it's many variations, and 10k visits is too small (especially if you use 2 sources) to choose a good combination. But you got 1 lead, it's already not bad!

1) How did you choose your LPs? It was your AM's recommendation, Spy-Service or sth else?

2) How did you choose offers? I know that KE is not so easy GEO. I tested about 50 different offers, but only 2 give a good ROI.

For some reason, Voluum does not track my campaigns cost, although I have entered a CPM value for all campaigns there, so it just shows a zero ROI.

1. I'm using ripped landers that I've modified to add a few scripts.
2. All offers are from the Mobidea's antivirus category, since I don't have access to any other network at the moment. So far I have tried 3 different geos (tier 3 countries) and 6 offers from that category, but only got 1 conversion.

If you have $1 CPM in pop source you have to set "CPC" and write $1/1000 = 0.001. Also there're always a discrepancy between what you see in a source and in your tracker. The difference is about 10-20%, for some countries like TH it can be 50%. But I recommend to set +20% to your CPC. http://take.ms/TWowU

Also could you please tell us what CPM you've set to your campaigns? If you can show your LPs, would be nice too.
UPD. Ah yes I see the CPM. So it's too high for KE. I recommend to try $1-1.5 and not higher for start.

1) So you ripped them for the Spy-Service? How did you choose them? New/Popular?

2) I highly recommend to ask your AM about how these offers are performing now and which is the best. It's not 100% way, but at least you will know may be it's a sh*t, and you should try other GEO.

Thanks for the tip.

1. I was using Adplexity and basically just downloaded 10 of the most popular variations of landers that are running now. After running a campaign for some time, I have removed the ones that were not performing well and focused on the remaining 3.
2. I've already tried South Africa and Malaysia. I'm going to try Germany and a few other tier 1 countries soon, but I want to make sure that I'm not missing something before I do that.

1) "After running a campaign for some time, I have removed the ones that were not performing well and focused on the remaining 3" - how did you understand that they perform well, and other bad?

2) ZA and MY are good countries for start. I can also recommend to try Eastern EU. DE, FR, IT and other TOP-EU countries I recommend to test on SOI offers.

1. The CTR value for those landers was much lower than for the other, less than 10%. It was the same in other geos that I tested them in.
2. I'm running similar campaigns in ZA and MY right now, the results are pretty much the same, but with lower CTR.

1) As I already told you can get much more profit with 1% CTR, than with 90%. So in this case the best way will be to test all LPs.

2) For ZA 3G traffic works much better, than WIFI. Try to run only it. For MY try to keep not higher than $0.7 CPM on start. And I recommend to test more networks: ClickDealer, Mundo, YepAds. I don't work with Mobidea, so I can't say nothing about them, but networks I wrote are really cool for mobile content.
