I'm trying to use Facebook's built in URL parameters option. The reason is I want to use the same post in different adsets to test different audiences.
Here's what I've done so far:
In website URL, I've added
"domain.com?campaignid=08h10d81&adset=update" (campaignid has to be there for my tracker)
In the URL paremeters section I've added "adset=1"
According to Facebook's help, this should work and replace the final website url with the value "1" for "adset".
But when I preview the ad and click the link. This isn't happening.
I'm thinking either
1. It doesnt work in preview mode and I have to wait until live traffic comes in
2. I've set it up incorrectly
Either way, can anyone who's set this up before help me understand where I'm going wrong here.
Hey!
Are you sure you are building a UTM link? Because the part you've shared here seems like a tracking postback.
For the UTM you could use the URL builder that Facebook provides right here: https://www.facebook.com/business/go...build-your-url
Then you would put the adset as the Campaign Term.
Try, and please update us, if this is what you were looking for
Hope this helps.
Its not a postback. It's my campaign URL.
I'm using my own macros, i.e. I'm not explicitly using UTM values (for example, utm_medium or utm_term)
