This is not some old story - the guy started in Nov 2016, so these things are still possible.

Important points:
- He switched quickly to products that worked and gained traction on day 2.
- Talked to manufacturers and made deals
- Bought his own warehouse to improve service levels
But note this too:
- ran into trouble when a manufacturer changed quality levels. This stuff happens - be prepared. And not always in a negative way. Manufacturers will make improvents and wonder why you complain about the product no longer matching specs.
- he teaches a course and a typical result is 12K turnover a month, a few have come close to his results. So, it still takes work and an element of luck as well (not everyone will hit a home run with a product)
All in all, it shows how quickly thing can go.
But it all starts with finding that right product. And the takeaway from this story is: try, but drop products quickly if it doesn;t work out.
And a general store too... wow.
Indeed - wow.
And what I find impressive is well is that he spends little to no time working IN his business.
Everything is outsourced or delegated, giving him lots of free time, while the business virtually runs on auto pilot.
Really interesting story!
It's worth having a look at his store, too.

The photography's great - particularly on the front page - and he's clearly put a lot of time into the copy too. There are some interesting examples where he's clearly taken an AliExpress or similar product spec page and rewritten it benefits-first.
The "Why Buy From Us?" tab is particularly good.
Also interesting to see what extensions to the store he's using.
If anyone was wondering where it is, here's the course (currently waitinglist only and no pricing info): https://academyofarbitrage.com/sales-page12261968
Link is copied and pasted from his
Clearly a facebook driven site, given the lack of any categories and internal navigation.
As for products, these bags must clearly be winners. Very low volume (shipment size), high perceived product value (once inflated it looks big, making it look more expensive).
Tip: If I were to start now, I'd start with that product. Read the reviews here: https://www.ldsman.com/pages/reviews
And look for hints for your copy. Here's how I do that:
- look at the photo with kid about to be crushed by Grandma - tells you something about the quality, doesn't it
- scroll down and see a dog in one - "not just for people" -> market expanding..
- scroll down further and see them on a beach -> take them everywhere / get the best seat on the beach / be comfortable even on a rocky surface
- see big guy "Joe M" -> not just for kids, big guys get to be comfortable too without the fear of being embarrassed by the bag exploding
There's real gold in these things. And best thing - even if these are not your customers,. you have just learned a lot to help you sell them. Tweak and test your copy and profit...
BTW: remember what I said in a previous post about names? This is named a "hangout bag" not an inflatable bag, which would be the product category and easily found on competitors sites.
As for prices: 12 cost, 39.99 retail..Currently solf out on their site.
Sources on aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale...inflatable+bag
Seriously, try this one out. It's the season for it and a proven product for which the market is def. not saturated.
BTW - if you decide to buy in bulk, your price goes down to $1 to $2 per unit: http://www.globalsources.com/gsol/I/...htm#1143990777
That's how you scale up when things go well - by stocking it yourself:
- you have more control
- you can offer better service
- you can increase your margins
anyone can find its ads on facebook, I tried but seems no results found
Look at his copy (which is great, btw) on this page:
Do you know if this product is trademarked ?
Yes, there's a particular shape that's trademarked in Europe: https://www.fatboy.com/nl/lamzac
And it's the shape that matters, as you can read here: https://www.epc.nl/en/blog/the-lamza...-be-overturned
Hope this helps..
It's on Amazon for as low as $19. One thing this product has going for it is that it is difficult to perform a keyword search for. Inflatable furniture is too broad, and inflatable couch brings back lots of different results. It's an uncommon item, so when a customer sees an advertisement for this I doubt they even go looking for it elsewhere.
does anyone know what plugin this is?

It's called wheelio: https://apps.Shopify.com/wheelio-fir...-intent-pop-up
However, I've heard people prefer justuno over that one, because justuno gives you better targeting (like time on site, items in cartt, value in cart etc): https://www.justuno.com/conversion-r...imization.html
Anyone know the pricing for justuno after the trial?
oh yeah, his product is better ! :-) is it ? maybe it really is ?
