Why do some placements get over 100% CTR?

I have a running campaign where some placements get over 100% CTR in Voluum stats, or in other words, the clicks are way higher than the visits. There are 2 possible reasons I can think of but I'm not so sure:
1, Visits number is lower than actual because Voluum seems to always catch less visit than reported by traffic source.
2, Clicks number is hacked up probably from bot or shady scripts from traffic source or user ends.
What do you think causing this issue? Thank you!

Hey,

If you have a back button hijacking script in your landers, that will be the reason. Voluum tracks overall clicks, not unique clicks, so one user can have 2 legitimate clicks, one click CTA and one time back button, as an example. Or multiple presses of the back button.

It sometimes is bots as well - that's a reason to not judge placements by CTR though, and try to go for CV. CTR doesn't tell you if they are bots or not. All variables work together, so one changing means the others do as well most often.

Cheers,
Manu.
