FOLLOW ALONG: Going For The Magical $xxx/ Day!!! Boo-Yah

What's up everyone? It's great to see everyone helping each other out. Hopefully, my buddy and I can be of some help sooner than later. Our goal is to first get profitable of course but we're really reaching for that $xxx/day. So, without further ado, here is where we're at:

1- Join STM and Malan Darras MAD Society Forum- Check
2- Follow Lesson 1 Of Vortex's Campaign Launch Guide- Check
3- Build A Campaign With Mobidea and Propeller- Check
4- Set up and Track With Voluum- Check
5- Wait for some data and conversions (2 conversions!!!)- Check
*2 Conversions for a Gaming Offer. We spent way over 3x the Payout but we wanted to get data quick and learn the process.
6- Set up multiple offers from different networks- Check
7- Spy and "Research" Landers- Check

Update: June 21, 2017

After running several POP campaigns via STM's (Mobi, Propeller and Voluum Guide - shout out to Amy aka Vortex) to learn the process of uploading campaigns and setting up tracking we've decided to learn Natives via RevContent. We are both learning HTML AND CSS too to eventually create and optimize landing pages through CodeAcademy.

8. Sign up to top networks running Native offers as seen on Adplexity.- Check
9. Sign Up for RevContent-Check
10. Upload 1 Campaign to run on RevContent to learn the ins and outs of the traffic Source- Check

*So far, we have been waiting a week just to get our ads approved on RevContent We had no idea it would take this long:/ I guess they're insanely busy which means lots of competition which means lots of money to be made

11. Once we have an offer approved- we'll run it-get data-to make sure we're setting things up right.- Pending

Thanks!

Keep spying and ripping...find winning campaigns and then piggyback off of their success and keep on testing to improve performance! Best of luck...

Native sources can take a long time to approve your campaigns, especially if you submit them at the end of the week I was also surprised by this when I started to use them.

Nice start! @OP: Would you like me to move this FA into the Native section?

thanks

After you rip landers (i.e. download landers other people are using - either from Adplexity or when you're spying on other websites that have pop ads), you need to fix the code to make everything work correctly, and check for sneaky redirect code that some people put on their landers to steal traffic when other people rip and use them.

For some of the common things to fix on ripped landers:

https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...Ripped-Landers

For finding sneaky redirects - this is tricky for someone who isn't good at coding. But this would be a start:

Q: How to detect sneaky redirect code in landers?

Depends what kind of functionality you are trying to find as redirection could easily be triggered by a timer, complex logics, cookie-based, etc. There are a bunch of ways to make sure it doesn't fire until it's live and in position.

Although if you watch the web console for it calling out to ANY external service, and it doesn't, and then check if it's dropping any cookies, and it's not, you should be OK.

But for just checking whether it's calling out, developer tools > network tab.

To check whether or not it’s dropping cookies:

-On Chrome: chrome://settings/

-And check for your domain.

-Check before you first visit the page on your domain, and then after.

Or use something like http://www.cookie-checker.com/
These methods probably won't catch ALL of them, but should at least catch the more common ones. Once you know that there's a sneaky redirect on the lander, you'll need to look for it and remove it - or ask someone else to (someone who's good at reading code).

Hope that helps!

Amy
