PLEENQ -- A New In-Image Native Advertisement

Hi STM!

PLEENQ is a completely new type of native advertisement that doesn't use up any extra screen real-estate. It works directly over images, essentially letting you create interactive ad units over objects within your images. Plus, from all the data we've collected, the average click-through rate when someone hovers over a PLEENQ is 15-33%!

What does PLEENQ look like?

The default desktop interaction looks like this:


You can customize every part of the ad unit itself (logos, text, site attribution), and will soon be able to run custom CSS on the ad unit. You can also save multiple templates of the ad unit, and automatically split test between them.

How much can PLEENQ make me?

During our beta, we were able to test on worldlifestyle.com for 3 days on <10% of their traffic using just the Amazon affiliate program and averaged about $500/day.

This is a brand new way of advertising via Native, I just love it!

Congratulations on bringing this new idea to the market, I think that this is going to be a game changer.

However, as far as I understand, this will only benefits publishers and not advertisers, am I right ?

Hi!

Thanks! While publishers will be the primary focus, there will be a secondary market for advertisers (think Google Adwords for images). Also, as manutv suggested, a display-advertising version could be in the works if there's interest in such a thing.

You can charge people on a CPM basis if you'll serve the ads and give us an ad tag.

Or a flat monthly fee if you'll give us a file that we can use to serve ads on our own.

Definitely interested in building this feature for you -- just a few questions to know if it will be useful:

1. What networks allow you to upload javascript or link to an external script?

2. For the networks that allow it, is there a size limit on the external script file or uploaded javascript?

3. If I packaged it as a fully self-sufficient file (requiring no external web requests), would you pay the $50/month price for up to 20 exports/month, or $500/month for unlimited?

4. Would you prefer it to be self-sufficient, or be able to remotely control it (without having to recompile/reupload the file) from the PLEENQ interface?
