Trying to Split test ad creatives

Hi STM

I've been running a few Facebook campaigns to a few CPA offers and I am getting conversions, im spending $5 per ad set and I have 2 ad creatives (running 2 different images) to try and gauge to get the best conversions and CTR from each ad.

Only problem I am seeing is:
When running to the 2 creatives in the same adset campaign I am getting one ad creative showing way more than the other

Eg 1

Is what I am doing ok? or should I be doing something else to run separate campaigns of each creative?

FB sends traffic to the ads it thinks are performing better in any given ad set, you'd have to split the ads in separate ad sets if you want proper data.

^^^ Not the ads that are performing better. FB algorithm will be sending traffic to the ads that are scored as more relevant to that targeted audience. Usually they cost less but you will find often times than not that the "neglected" ad has higher ROI even after it may cost more sending impressions to.

@missinglink your tracker will ultimately give you the answer. what I would do in your case is either separate those two ads on different adsets and run them in parallel with lower budgets or duplicate that adset that includes your two ads 3 or 4 times and also run all those in parallel. then cut non-performers as per your tracker
