SMS phone verification for Facebook?

Hey Guys,
If I have a German Facebook ad account,
does Facebook care if the SMS verification matches the country of the ad account?
say it's a German ad account, do i have to SMS verify with a German mobile number?

If you want to act like a real person yes. If you want to raise flags I suggest to do an indian number or such.

My current answer is NO it doesn't matter.

I just had this problem on 2 of my german accounts as well. (got a verification screen when I tried logging in forcing me to confirm a phone number)

I've gotten back in everytime. What worked was my girlfriend's caribbean phone number on one of them. A US Google Voice number worked on another.

What didn't work was getting a German number off Twilio. For some reason FB didn't text the code to it even though I could recieve texts.

Each time I've gotten back in the account works fine. So currently I dont think it matters.

Mr Clean, Funny you mentioned that Google Voice works, that's a VOIP number and Voips don't usually work for SMS verification...
