I've read so many threads of people's landers/domains being flagged by google when running AV, and I was thinking, how do they know that it's flagged?
Aside from the fact that when you physically access it, google gives you the red warning page
Because I have been running AV for some time now and so far my landers/domains have not been flagged at all
Also, how does Google actually determine which domains to flag?
You can check the status of your domain here : https://www.google.com/transparencyr...ng/diagnostic/
Google has their own tools, crawlers that "browse" the web and look for sites that insert malicious code. They also keep a DB of sites that they deem malicious and can flag a site/page that is linked to it - for example by loading some code from it. I've had a bunch of sites flagged for using a hacked 3rd party ad-server, for example.
You can use https://www.trafficprotector.com to get notified vie Email/SMS when your URL gets flagged from any of the big Internet sheriffs. (I'm not affiliated with the tool)
I would suggest having your domains and landers checked at least every day, or even twice a day.
One thing related to domain flagging is the geo you are running you camps. The higher the standards of a country the sooner the domain gets flagged.
Google puts this warning flag for pages whenever its automated web crawler has detected some viruses or spyware when it visited page. The purpose of the warning is to help protect less-savy web users who are using Google search results by steering them away from malicious pages.
This site can scan your URLs for flagging and at the same time will give you insights on what to do next when you get flagged: http://www.unmaskparasites.com/malware-warning-guide/
