Targeting older people on Adult

Hey guys,
Any suggestions on targeting the older crowd on adult websites such as Traffic Junky? Im drawing a blank when thinking about what type of porn are old men into.

Wow, this is a very specific question, I believe only test will show you, as it also depends on many things..
And actually, how can you target older audience? There are no age targeting options on Traffic Junky..

You can try a lander where you ask the visitor for their age
e.g. send > age 30 to offer x and < age 30 to something else

I actually found some stats from Pornhub that state what type of videos are watched by specific age groups. I will be testing this, https://www.pornhub.com/insights/2016-year-in-review

1. Targeting OLDER people: This is probably the oldest trick of them all. Older people are more likely to become paying customers than younger ones. By older, I mean 30 or 40+, no need to target retirement homes residents

- These people are more likely to have active credit cards, or some money on their accounts.
- 18 years old guys care more about beer than looking for love on a dating site for example.
- Younger people are more skilled when it comes to finding stuff on internet for free too.

But how do you target older people?

Some sources allow this directly, think Facebook or other social media. But what if the source doesn't support demographic targeting? You have to options here: 1. Utilize the creatives or 2. Target the right placements.

Creatives can help a lot, use texts like : Older people only, 30+ only, offer only good for 40+ people … for seniors … mature … you know what I mean. It's not gonna weed out the youngsters 100%, but it will definitely help. In case of dating offers for example, use images of older women that attract older males by default for example.

Targeting the proper placements can help too. When trying to target older people, you don't want to advertise on apps or sites that deal with games for kids for example. 9GAG.com probably isn't the best traffic source for this too. But NEWS sites, classic music apps, dating apps or sites … these are the placements you want to show your ads at. Think about your target audience and target sites that they are hanging out at.
And here are some more tips for you that relate to adult :

1. Categories and keywords : milf, mature, older ... these are pretty obvious but there are more : vintage, classic scripted adult movies, pornstars from the past - this kind of stuff attracts the older audience more.
2. Creatives : older women on banners, up to really OLD same for LPs, stay away from slang that youth use - focus on less attractive females, older people are generally less confident when it comes to approaching super attractive girls
3. Focus on fetishes : older people already know what they want, and it's often a fetish they cannot get a fix for at home

Re: targeting, there are some tools you can use to personalize your landing pages using more specific user info, like adtailor for example.

You could also check out some of the Ashley Madison data dump. It's been analyzed by age, physical characteristics, and fetishes of the users. Since the average user was 39 and most users were above 33 you can get an idea of some of the things older men are looking for.

The OP was asking about how to target older people at the traffic source, so personalizing landing pages wont be of much help.

Analyzing the tastes older people and targeting such interests ... that makes way more sense of course

Try xHamster through Trafficstars.com and target "mature" and "granny" categories. xHamster's visitors are the oldest ones.

Hey!

Bad news, almost all networks doesn't have demographic targeting.
Good news, big part of adult tubes audience - MEN 25+.
So, the best option is to create funnel for older people (i.e. banners and prelanders should include photos of older people)
And you can also target specific keywords or topics that older people search usually.
