Conversions on email submits

Why is my conversion time so much later than the click time? This offer converts on email submit. I've had a few clicks that didn't convert until an entire day later. Why would this happen?Click image for larger version.

There are 3 basic reasons for this to happen :

1. Someone clicks an Ad, or gets server a POP or whatever ... they do not act immediately, because they might not notice the POP, they got distracted, forgot about the page ... then, some time later they return to the already loaded page and finish the signup process.

2. It's a Double Opt In email leadgen offer, so some kind of additional action is required for the lead to be considered valid : email confirmation, extra click, profile creation ...

3. There is some kind of verification process that is executed in batches and not real-time : comparison with existing members, email validity checker ... In some cases, this process is done every so often, so you can see an influx of conversions every hour or so.

An additional reason can be that the advertiser has a server issue that is causing delays in updating the stats (although if this is something that is happening all the time thats probably not the case).

I recommend you take Matuloo`s reasons and check if they relate to your issue.
Ask your AM what is the flow exactly?
What is the conversion point?
Are stats updated in real-time?

Forgot about one more option, that's pretty common with some GEOs and certain offer types - especially with carrier billing offers - the conversions are reported with delay due to the tech setup or some kind of verification, for example some ASIAN geos are quite known for this.
