Anyone tried tv advertising for internet product.
I read that for 30sec spot there is 61% conversion rate.
People buy more if they mentally reinforced both by seeing on TV then Internet
I know it requires lots of testing to get this conversion.
Slate ran a great test on this last year and posted results. Not sure I have the courage (bank roll) to spend on testing but would love to see a case study on it. http://www.slatev.com/video/how-i-ran-ad-fox-news/
there is a ton of inventory at the local level with cable providers.....and its much much cheaper than you think.....here is my thought on how to make it work....
find the dma's that work for your offer by testing online...you can do this pretty easy with fb/pof or just by ip tracking.....then go into those dma's and by some test slots on the demographic programs that they watch.....its pretty easy to do on cable....so many dif channels....pic the ones that match your demo....pick the time slots they would be on.....setup your funnel...and see what you get....and if you cross channel it at the same time by hitting them directly with online stuff the 2 should work together quite well...
thats my 2 cents....
