Trying to understand an offer - super newbie question

Hello, I'm trying to understand whether a gaming offer is a good fit for mobile, and it's a bit of a challenge. The game is PC/Mac only - it's not an app. But when I sort by mobile, the offer comes up, so presumably it works on mobile. Even more confusing, it says:

"No social traffic allowed.
No search traffic allowed.
All Media Types Allowed"

If all media types are allowed, then why isn't social and search allowed? And if the offer isn't an app, why wouldn't search and social be allowed as they seem like natural traffic sources?

Thanks for any help and I'm sure this post is classic overthinking.

Hello,

it's always the best to check with your AM to see what the actual rules are for any particular offer - when entering tons of offers, the staff can become lazy and simply use default settings ... it happens all the time.

But anyways, media in this context should mean the traffic type - so banners, videos, text links ... but they don't want you to post links on social media (banners on FB would still be ok I believe) and they don't want search traffic like 7search.com ... again, I believe they would accept adwords traffic.

There default terms are very vague and the way networks understand them, can vary quite a bit too.

Don't get stuck with this.

Consult these with your AM and he will help you to figure out this puzzle.

Make sure your AM or network knows of your promotion methods and you will be fine. Build relationships and trust.

P.S. The things that are not allowed are always those that previously worked for someone very well

Gospel!

Anyone that wants to do blackhat and doesn't know how to start, merely has to go through some of the offer requirements and make a list of everything that's forbidden.

Another tip: Once you have a good relationship with your AM, they'll tell you which offers you can break the specified rules for.
