30% click loss is not unheard of by any means, though its toward the higher of what I usually find acceptable. Just remember click loss is something that every one deals with -- an inevitable part of pop traffic. Thus, manage it the best you can (i.e. optimize your landers/hosting), then move on and don't think too hard about it.
Not knowing the technical details of your particular lander, page load time of 1s isn't necessarily TERRIBLE, but improving that page speed in any fashion, would likely help decrease your click loss by some amount.
