Hey, I love bratwurts as I got a relative in Germany, I couldn't not try it lol. So, I'm going to drop the ball rolling:

1. How did you start in affiliate marketing?
– I'm a web & back-end developer and I partnered up with an affiliate manager 3 years ago and we were doing email marketing and then entirely transitioned to SMS traffic.
2. What was your biggest failure and biggest success (humor welcomed!)?
– I'm a maximalist so that means what I'm achieving at the moment might be considered a success, but for me the success it yet to come. As a failure I consider the point of my life when I was getting less than 5% email inbox deliverability, due to spam filtering. Lost quite some money, a lot of time and nerves...
3. How would a VIP access ticket benefit you, and what do you expect to gain from the conference?
– Would be extremely beneficial for me to network with fellow affiliate marketers & learn a lot of things about the industry that I still don't know.

Jeez, how the heck has nobody responded to this? I don't have an Adsbridge account but of course I can always make one. And since my odds of being able to go to Berlin this year are looking pretty good I may as well answer the questions.

1. How did you start in affiliate marketing?

Oh man, it's been a long journey. It all started back in 2008 when I was 18 years old and in my second year of College. I stumbled upon BHW's forums and I was hooked. I was always just testing random "methods", none of which really worked. About a year or two into things viral FB apps were blowing up. I got in on the tail end of things but managed to have my first 1k day and my first 2k day. Made about 15k in a month and a half basically doing nothing because the apps were hardly moderated at all yet. I saw one guy shout 100k on CPALead when FB apps were at their peak and multiple people shouting 10k+.

At that time I saw the potential and I knew this was the business for me. More and more years went by. I tested several more "methods". I did everything under the sun from SEO, to coding my own IG bot (I was in College for programming), micro niche sites, drop shipping on Ebay, buying used video games and reselling them on Amazon and a ton of other things.

Finally last year I decided enough was enough. I started researching how to start a real business and came across STM. This forum has been a HUGE help. I've made some major mistakes along the way, racked up 40k (CAD) in credit card debt starting with pops, but now I am close to paying all of that off. Most likely in about 30 days I should be in the green overall and I will be starting to venture into other areas.

2. What was your biggest failure and biggest success (humor welcomed!)?

My biggest failure I would have to say there are two of them. The first is spending YEARS not taking things seriously and not treating this like a business. I had to realize that there's no get rich quick scheme. The second was the huge amount of debt I racked up, and then using the taxes I charge Canadian businesses as cash flow. My God was I close to having the government come raining down on my parade. At the end of the year I owed $8700 (CAD) and had a big whopping $0 to give them. Luckily I kicked my ass in gear and made it work though.

My biggest success is how I paid off those taxes. Since January I've been working on something that I don't think anyone else is doing and it has allowed me to have consistent mid $xxx days. for almost 2 months now. This allowed me to finally have some stress relief. I was working basically from when I woke up to when I went to bed for a full year. It felt good to finally relax and step away from the computer.

3. How would a VIP access ticket benefit you, and what do you expect to gain from the conference?

A VIP access ticket would mostly benefit me by allowing me to network with others. I really want to find some other people who are doing similar things as I am. I also want to meet up with the amazing guys in the Mastermind I am a part of. Those guys have seriously helped me in incredible ways along the way and it's about damn time I bought them all a beer. I'm also starting to look into starting my next venture, most likely FB, and would love to network with others that are already doing it.

So there you have it. That's been my journey so far. It's been the most challenging thing I've ever done in my life but you can rest assured it was most certainly worth it. I was hoping to be able to buy my first sail boat this Summer as that's been my main goal, and it may not be possible this year but I should be able to make it happen next year. I absolutely can't wait to see how the rest of my journey unfolds.

Cheers,
Brad

This is the same exact thing I thought when I saw this thread earlier today. Such a generous offer and the ROI from entering is so high. Surprised at the lack of response. Good luck

1. How did you start in affiliate marketing?
I started in 2006 by taking a google adwords course and 6 years after playing arounf with campaigns I became full time marketer in 2012.

I know people whose lives are forever changed by just going to one of our conferences - this may be your chance!

I started affiliate marketing back on October/November last year as a newbie.
In fact I did not know what I was doing quite good and spend my limit budget quite fast.. it was my first failure and made me take some time till I got back 2 months ago. I felt I needed to step out and pure wasn’t focus.

After some time doing not much related to business.. I said to myself that it was NOW the time to handle that part of my life for once and for all. I moved to a new country, with cheaper cost of living to reduce all possible holdbacks on budgeting my campaigns. I said, “those are your last savings and you are going to make it work”.

So far, after 2 months in, I have had profitable days and also there were the days when you go negative investing money in order to get data, it’s a mental game to keep in balance and willing to master that. Overall progress is very solid and I can’t see the limit.

Having the ticket to AWE would just help enormously, as I will meet with other affiliates face to face, share experiences, be even more part of the community, give value to likeminded guys/girls in Berlin and come back home with a lot of new ideas to implement, as well as wearing an Adsbridge t-shirt on my greek sculpted body of 16h in front of my laptop a win-win situation for you too guys and of course I would be grateful to Adsbridge for that opportunity and invite You to drink the Real German Beer and bratwurst if you are adventurous enough!!

1. How did you start in affiliate marketing?
I started almost 7 years ago with not very successfull mediabuying campaigns.

2. What was your biggest failure and biggest success (humor welcomed!)?
I lost nearly 3K during 1 night just because of my inattention. I forgot to stop my campaigns after hours-of-convert.
Biggest success - I'm sure I'haven't reach it yet! Where is my billions? I reach 3-4K leads daily, but it isn't my limit.

3. How would a VIP access ticket benefit you, and what do you expect to gain from the conference?
My mom will be proud!

Hey - I just saw this. I've been using Adsbridge since 2015 and it has helped me a lot with my affiliate marketing journey. Love you guys

How did you start in affiliate marketing?

In 2008 while I was at the University studying Shipping Economics. All my university friends were pumped since after finishing our studies most of us would work at at big shipping companies and we would have big fat wages.

All I kept thinking was that I did not want to work at a boring 9-5 job for the rest of my life. I really liked marketing and the idea of working on the internet marketing field excited me.

I started looking for ways to start with internet marketing and somehow after numerous google searches I found that sexy thing called SEO.

I was sold to the idea of building websites and ranking them on the first page of Google earning "passive income" from adsense and affiliate ads.

9 months later my first successful website was ranked on the first page of Google for several travel/flight related search terms and I was making a few thousands per month passively promoting an online travel agent.

That's how i got started with affiliate marketing

What was your biggest failure and biggest success?

Although I have been running affiliate campaigns since 2009 I always had a 9-5 job. For many months, I was making enough money to leave my job but I was always hesitant and scared to do the next step. Whenever I thought of leaving my job some big failure was happening with my affiliate campaigns ( Google De-index, account bans, the advertiser was stopping the offers , the campaigns were dying etc ) and I was backing up.

For every successful project of mine I have at least 10 failures ( or more lol ).

I guess my biggest failure was back in late 2011 when my network of more than 50 websites got deindexed from Google and I lost 99% of my online income in 1 night! It was a hard lesson that taught me that I should not just rely on Google or just 1 traffic source for my income. That failure though was the beginning of my biggest success

After I lost 99% of my income in 1 night I started looking for other ways to make an income online that would not rely on Google. This is how I found media buying. I started with Facebook and Google and then I expanded to other traffic sources.

In 2014 I made enough money to help my parents pay off a loan that they had at that time. It was not much and I've earned more since then but this is THE moment that I consider my greatest success and I am extremely grateful for that.

How would a VIP access ticket benefit you, and what do you expect to gain from the conference?

As I said before, I an an affiliate since 2009 but I always had a job since I was always feeling insecure. After getting married and having 2 kids that fear grew more. 3 months ago ,after working a lot on my mindset and with the support of my wife and a good friend, I decided that the only way to overcome my fear is to deal with it.

I resigned from my 9-5 job and I am proud to say that I am a full time performance marketer with no intention to go back to a job ever again

This VIP ticket would help me a lot to expand my network of like minded people and I firmly believe that the connections and the content can change my life.

Good luck everyone

G.

How did you start in affiliate marketing?

I began in affiliate marketing around ten years ago after the financial crisis of 2008.
I guess the motivation came out of seeing the stress of the crisis, and wondering about trying something new. In hard times, I seem to think about resetting or jump starting something in my life. I got on the internet, and because I’ve worked from home before, I looked up exciting ways to make money online. Something that wouldn’t be too stagnant.
After a lot of reading through what Google offered me, I stumbled upon affiliate marketing. I honestly had never even heard of it, but when I read some of the success stories I, as I assume many have done before me, got excited. It was risky, it took a shit ton of time and effort, but I took the dive, and it’s paid off pretty nicely.

What was your biggest failure and biggest success (humor welcomed!)?
My biggest failure would have to be the time I went on vacation for two weeks and didn’t pause any campaigns. This was still during my early work, and two of the campaigns crashed so bad, and kept bleeding money for two whole weeks…. The vacation was nice, but coming home to that amount of lost investment was a bit… stressful.
My biggest success was just recently actually! I now have FIVE campaigns making XX/day, and one making XXX. I’m hoping to get all of them up, but you can’t be greedy (well… maybe a little

How would a VIP access ticket benefit you, and what do you expect to gain from the conference?

The opportunity to just create contacts at the best affiliate conference out there… it’s priceless! I wouldn’t just be able to get tips and interesting ideas from the experts, but also get to see all of the biggest super affiliates in person. We all read, or have read at some point, the blogs of charles ngo, john chow, etc. To hear them speak would be a great experience for sure. I also have a great grandmother and grandfather from Germany, and getting back to my roots would be an interesting experience in and of itself. I ma even make a vacation out of it!

P.S. I love beer + brats!
