Hey!

Why do you need a mentor? STM is your best mentor. We all can help you. Please don't pay people and ask all your questions there.

Even though STM is very helpful and I get a lot of my questions answered here I just wanted a mentor to be on a more personal level like on a face to face basis

www.6wamc.com is by far the best way you can get personal attention on your campaigns.

1 more vote for 6wamc, where you will be in hands of a team of teachers instead of one mentor. Check this blog post of mine to see why I believe it's better that way : http://www.matuloo.com/why-i-dont-of...uld-recommend/

1. You don't NEED a mentor.

2. Paying for one can be a great solution but obviously not everyone can afford it. In that case I suggest trying to find a local affiliate near you, and offer them as much value as possible.

I lived in Atlanta 6 years ago and someone reached out to me. They offered to work for me for free for any sort of affiliate marketing advice. What impressed me most about them is "I'll do anything that can make your life easier."

So he literally went to the grocery store for me, dropped my dog off at the groomers, picked up mail, etc. Slowly over time I had him helping out with small campaigns things like banners and translating landing pages.

Eventually he started running some campaigns and I'd offer him help here and there.

What made this work is

1. He genuinely wanted to help me and he wasn't "too good" for any tasks. He never felt entitled or rushed me to teach him.

2. In the book Smartcuts, not every mentor / mentee relationship works. The key difference is if there is a "relationship" between them outside of work and they have to care for each other.

3. Something else I noticed is whenever we ate out, he always insisted on paying. This made me uncomfortable since I made significantly more money than he did, but he insisted because "I gave him so much value."

Dude...he gave me so much value that I'd feel GUILTY not helping him.

I remember one time he went through a difficult breakup. I didn't really have great advice back then since I was so young, but I did take him to the nightclubs and we had fun. That's a natural, organic relationship.

Anyways just food for thought. My biggest advice is 1. don't be entitled and 2. offer as much value as possible to them.
