ebay Affiliate program

Dear Sir,

I am a newbie to Affiliate Marketing and I have joined ebay affiliate Program. But I do not know how to deal with it. So, could you please explain to me in clear, simple steps how to make my first commission and launch my first campaign therein?

Many thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Hello,

in case you want to work with PAID traffic, ebay is not a good choice. The margins are too low, you will have no chance competing against guys running their own stores. The commission from ebay depends on how much ebay is making from that sale... they will give you certain % from THEIR share. So you are getting maybe 5% from the total purchase value, could be higher in some cases, but certainly not more than 8%-10%.

Your competitors are running drop-shipping stores with aliexpress goods, often with margins as high as 100%-200% or more, so they can afford to pay way more per click than you would be.

You have a few choices now :

1. if you want to stay with ebay aff.program, you need to develop organic traffic - SEO, social media presence, forums, blogs ...
2. if you want to work with paid traffic and stay in ecommerce, you will have to build your own store, for example using the Shopify platform and start buying traffic from platform like facebook.
3. if you want to work with paid traffic, but don't necessarily want to focus on ebay or ecommerce in general, explore other options and get registered with some "standard" affiliate networks. You can use pretty much any traffic type here. As for the networks, there is a ton of them, but here are a few that I know have reps on the forum : affiliaxe, adsimilis, addiliate, A4D, f5, clickdealer ... kimia, Mobidea, glize, gotzha ... there is a ton

Good luck and ask away if you need more clarification
