Yesterday was a very interesting day to say the least.
Facebook system decided to ban my iAmAttila fan page, Banners&Landers fan page, as long as a dozen other whitehat fan pages in a blanket ban triggered by their automatic system.
What's worse, is when I submit an appeal, I get an automatic canned cut n paste message saying the page violated fan page policy (which is clearly not true).
What might have triggered this could be our new ecommerce launch where my assistant created 100 new fan pages for different products then assigned them all to me; what is NOT cool is that you cannot get your fan page back that did not violate any policies, because they keep sending me back cut n pasted messages (aka canned replies).
I know many from Facebook read this, hope you can help resolve it - I have been a HUGE contributor to STM as you know, and many people rely on my tips and articles daily.
Thanks
I second this - A lot of the users here, including myself, read weekly for hours on the iAmAttila fan page. It has/had a lot of valuable content and for sure does not violate any FB policies.
This point also again proves you should never ever build a business that relies on one third party provider. They can drop you in a second and ban you.
A long term business is never build or never relies on just one single (traffic) source of income.
Sad news bro.
As mentioned above, your content had also many keywords that could triggered that, unless you can get to someone in person who can get it back I'm not sure if there is any chance as the system is automated.
Good luck, your content was always interesting!
I didn't read the title properly and thought this is related to some cloaked ads or accounts.
But banning a fanpage doesn't make much sense. If you had an agency and your account manager, then maybe something could be done.
On the other hand, by using Facebook you agree to their T&C which basically say that they don't have to justify their decisions and they don't even have to tell you (they are just nice by telling you). Facebook and Google are not democratic or liberal at all. That is why I like Twitter or Reddit much more but you have to go where the people are.
You don't OWN anything on facebook.com and if someone doesn't like you personally and takes the effort to get you banned, he/she can succeed quite easily. I agree with wat whysoez said, all you need is one informed person who doesn't like what you're doing and has enough time on their hands. Something similar happened to me as well...
Déjà vu feeling. Reminds me a bit of the cool hunter being shut down on FB

Yikes, I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now. Really sorry about this.
Ouch, this really hurts ... taking out dozens of fanpages in one go, that's quite rough.
Hi Attila, I know that feeling.
I had a page with 1,5million likes in Italy and facebook, without any logic reason, suddenly banned it.
No one will give you back all the hours you worked on the page, unfortunately.
And the fact that Facebook:
1) Doesn't reply
2) If it reply, it says that you infranged something regarding page policy, but they can't say you what (W T F)
3) Copy and paste of some random message
Thanks all, luckily i own the 'list' therefore, I can easily create another fan page and get the fans back - but still, they are nuts. They also banned BannersLanders and many others which couldn't possible violate anything.
On one hand Atilla you promote and provide information on how to milk FB eg http://iamattila.com/media-buying-10...kes-offers.php
on other hand you expect to be treated by them honestly ?
Does not compute.
well the true reason is not the quality of your whitehat fanpages but the mass creation of fanpages having just 1 same admin in all of them,
this triggered some spam alert in their system. They have 2 trust levels for fanpages : the simple one and the "verified" . Verified ones are way less checked for fake news and they survive longer on user spam reports
