Safe way to splittest landers with Facebook Ads

Hi there,

I was wondering what is the safe way to splittest landing pages (with different angles/copy) on Facebook Adsw? We are running ads for e-commerce products.

We did use Voluum for months without problems in the past to track our conversions and redirect our traffic, but our low level account manager strongly advised us not to use this because of a potential ban because of the redirects (even if we wouldn't splittest and only track).

After reading this in the helpcenter I really doubt his advice.

Make sure that any tracking URL properly redirects to your desired landing page
What do you guys think? And how do you setup a splittest?

Oke just had contact with our new account-manager, this one was a level higher up their internal hierarchy. According to him Facebook had no restrictions for vendors that work with click-tags (like Voluum).
For view tags there is a list with approved vendors.

Using Voluum to track theAds is probably now problem.
For the splittesting part he could only tell me not to disrupt the user experience. So people need to land on a page that they expect...

Facebook has a split test feature built in now when you go through ad manager create campaign..
alternatively, you can just set separate URLs in your ads, to goto different landers and do 1 ad per adset to make sure that both spend equal

Hi iAmAttila, thank you for your answer. I know the split-test function in Facebook. Unfortunately target URL in't a variable we can use in this function.

Splitting up adsets is a possibility, but this will not give a 'pure' split-test because of social signals (likes/ spam reports etc.) on the different ad-sets. So this one is best in case there aren't any other methods.

if you change the destination url using Voluum you will get banned for cloaking eventually
