what to do when you have less targeting options?

Hey guys!
so lately I 've using popup/popunder traffic sources like propellerads, popcash, etc
the volume is high, but as you know you need to have offers that have a mass market appeal, a vertical that most people, males and females, children and adults are interested in.
I may be wrong, but I think this is just one piece o f the puzzle, as my campaigns are also affected by other parameters.
for example, when I launched my last campaign, I realized that my LPs performed (converted) way more better with UC browser than Chrome, which was a bit surprising, the total number of visitors with chrome were 5,840, but visitors with UC browser were only 2,893
the problem is that "most" popup traffic sources don't provide the option to target specific browsers, os versions, carrier/IPS, and much more.

how can I profit with pop traffic with less targeting options?
can hot offers/verticals alone can make a campaign profitable despite the other parameters?

Hey!

Yes. Some sources don't provide you a large targeting, but you have to ask them always. May be they can create sth for you,

1) A really good Offer+LP can give you high ROI on 99% parameters. But it's really hard to find a good one.

2) If you're seeing that some parameters give you a bad result, but you can't exclude them, the best way - to create another campaign with different LP and offers. For example if you're running AV you can create a new camp for sweeps. And than create a rule in your 1st campaign and send all this traffic to a new campaign. It really works for me very cool. Sometimes I have a better ROI on my 2nd camp than on my 1st
Also if your 2nd is still not profitable - send this traffic to global links (like monetizer).

And don't forget to optimize your LPs, Offers, Pubs and other target. Sometimes when you change offers you "bad" parameters can give you a very good result!

Good luck!

Dima.

You have to work with the options you have available.

You either leverage your traffic source AM to get some more targeting options (sometimes they are able to turn something on/off) or do the "magic" on your own with right flow management.

Imagine you are not able to target carriers on a specific traffic source. What you can do in that case is to find offer for every carrier + wifi and do the flow management in your tracking.

In this case you can use 100% of your traffic. Of course it's not easy and there may not be enough good offers, in those cases you can try to resell that particular traffic segment to services like Afflow, Mobidea and other smart link rotators or back to traffic sources on CPM basis.
