Identifying Anonymous Visitors on E-commerce Website for email campaign
Tens of thousands of visitors per day but when we don't get the e-mail it's a lost opportunity.
We would like to re-market(email) some of these anonymous visitors even if we can't grab there email.
Is there any companies you know of that pool together ip's/emails from various sources?
Has anyone worked with a company that can take ip's we have to match with an e-mail?
I found a company reach dynamics that said that's what they do but though I'd ask around.

Intriguing idea and would love to see how this might compare to a more typical display retargeting campaign.
How does this provider actually mail from a permission/data compliance point of view though?

So they claimed they can reach 20% of my anonymous visitors. through e-mail
Well the numbers came back and it's closer to 6% ... but its still something.

The low success rate is a MUST in this case, I'm pretty surprised they could even reach that high number. I can't imagine how huge DB they'd have to own in order to reach higher number - since the only way for them to pair IPs with actual email addresses would be during an optin process - I seriously doubt they have 20% of all surfers from your GEO in their list. I would also question the legality of this option - did you ask about the permission compliance?

If they are reaching 6% of our traffic it wouldn't surprise me if they were hitting 20% with other websites having different demographics.
I did not ask about permission compliance.
I'll make some changes to our terms and conditions just in case.

I don't know man, 20% sounds like an insanely high number, that would mean that 20% of all surfers opted to their lists at some point ... I know that it would depend on particular sites demo quite a bit, but still...
