hello,
i started by thinking about less competition areas and my mind just blown with some offers that are targeting Desktop users only.
as everyone else is focusing on mobile i may find a winner at less competitive area
so i picked some offers that are for Desktop only : Mackeeper,PC System care{windows} . and tested them but found that they will not make that much profit because they was generating a profit of around $2 / day only.
then i went to try Dating offers in Desktop.
Details:
offer
ating CPL
payout:$1.49
TS:Zeropark
started the campaign on April 12 ,
direct linking only and targeting windows only split testing 2 different landers provided by the network itself.
and here is the first results i got.

i did some optimization by cutting some bad targets and got this results the following day

it's converting really well but i need to make more profit from it.
so i went into the reports and tried to go for everything i can optimize and optimized it to the best i can by cutting all the landers and kept only one lander running with only one operation system(windows) and one source only because 80% of conversions was made from this source.
and i got this results for April 14

everything is perfect and all is good.
but i still need to make more and more profit so i went into reports again and there was only one thing to optimize which is the hour per day. and i cut the hours with zero conversions only since the campaign starts.
and got this results so far. and increased the bid to make sure to collect all the traffic there.
so i'm wondering why this happen and why it stops to convert
Status of today so far:

any help please
thx
Keep in mind that this weekend has religious events most of the weekend around the world and that can always impact the typical performance.

First of all, you should test everything that will not cut amount of your traffic (banners/prelanders/landers/affiliate networks etc.)
Also, you should definitely test dating offers with prelanders, especially if you work with popunder traffic, direct linking rarely works in this niche. Before cutting most of traffic by operation system and by hours you should test several prelanders (jump pages), for example, one prelander will not work for windows but will definitely work for other operation system. Such data collected could help u to make much more relevant decisions in your further optimization steps.
Moreover, by cutting your traffic by hours your campaign could lose its position among your competitors campaigns from time to time. In the end it will lead to your negative ROI.
I advise you to leave this campaign as it is and to create several new campaigns with prelanders and follow my advice with optimization process. I am sure, you will be surprised, comparing the results u will get in the end.
Very nice optimization yacoub! Always nice to see an AMC student continuing on to find green camps!
As Mr Payne and
After the holidays are over, focus on scaling instead of trying to optimize this camp further. When it comes to optimization, try not to over-optimize a campaign, because you'll reach the point of diminishing returns, where you're spending valuable time making optimizations that will only give you very minor increase in profits. Optimize the big things and focus on scaling, or setting up new camps instead.
Before scaling though, 1)make sure that conversion do come back after the holidays, and 2)check with your AM to make sure the lead quality is acceptable.
Again, congrats on all the green you've been finding in multiple camps! Here's to a lot more!

Hello yacoubh,
there are several reasons that could have affected your campaign :
1. limited amount of sources - you said you kept running on 1 source only, right? All it takes is for someone to outbid you on that source and game over. The source can also get paused or lose traffic from one way or another.
2. easter - the guys above me are right, major holiday can have an impact on many verticals - dating is certainly one of them.
3. one LP only, one OS, one evertyhing ... you want to keep variety to fight the fluctuations.
4. cutting some hours - you need more than 3 days of data to start day-parting.
What you have done here was trying to squeeze every last drop of profit from your campaign and you most likely killed it in the process by "over-optimization". When you find a working funnel in the future, try to make more money by scaling it and getting more volume, do not push for every last possible % of profit.
