Hello there,
I have heard a lot about iframing an offer. I had this first profitable campaign that did XX/day profit for a few days and my AM asked if I was iframing the offer.
I have tried to look out for that information in the forum but with no success. What is Iframe and why is it important?
Could you please shed some light on how to do it as well?
Thanks
Hello, kelvonroy!
Iframing is very sensitive topic to be honest, and people who're doing that prefer not to tell about that. It works with 1-click offers when you hide an original LP of the offer, and users see your custom LP without rules etc... Some offers allow that especially in Tier2-3 countries (TH, KE, GH...), but I have to say that you should not to do that without technical knowledge. I recommend to search some teach guys, who can create that for you. But make sure that there are no public information.
P.S. Don't iframe offers which don't allow that. You will be punished in any way.
To put it simply, iFraming is putting one website inside another one, like so:
MrBraun and Bob have explained really well what iframes are. I just want to add that there are offers that accept iframes, that you can run without breaking any rules.
More importantly: Some aff networks / affiliate managers will let you use iframes even for offers that don't openly allow them. I'm not encouraging shady practices, but if you're considering running against the rules, it would be good to get your AM on your side to minimize the risks. You may be surprised at how many AMs would be willing to help you with naughty tactics. They would also be able to advise which offers to stay away from due to the advertiser being anal about this sort of stuff (to further minimize your risks of not getting paid).
Also, offer owners / advertisers are becoming increasing aware of such practices, and have taken measures to detect/prevent them. Lots of offers are equipped with iframe blockers now, that will render your iframe inoperable.
For offers that don't have iframe blockers, iframes can still work well. It largely depends on WHAT it is that you've designed your iframe to do/show. It's the same sort of thing as using pre-landers - they can work very well or very badly depending on the angle used in the content, and the design.
Amy
Thanks guys for your valuable information.
