Newbie help for Adult traffic

Ok so I wanted to know what is the best adult traffic source for a complete new comer and also I've been hearing different opinions on which geo a newbie should start in. For the most part It has been recommended for newbies to start in tier 2s and tiers 3s, but lately it has been recommended for me to start in a tier 1 with adult. Can anybody shed some light on the best possible method out here for a beginner. thanks

Hey Eneal,
Welcome to the industry!

I recommend asking as many questions as you can around here, a lot of friendly people on the forum
There are a few roads you can take, paid and free standout.

Depending on the funds you are working with, you can start out with social media and build up followings and promote that way.
Blogs with current trending topics are also a great way to get traffic built up.

If you have funds I would suggest starting out with some ad networks.
Try to find ones that are under the rug.

Maybe even before you start out, decide if there is a particular niche in adult that you want to work with, Asian, Cams, Latino, etc.
This can help you decide what types of sources of traffic you may want start up as well as GEOs.

We specialize in adult dating and male enhancement and would love to share with you some our success stories.
Looking forward to chatting soon.

Thanks for the quick response what are some under the rug ad networks? I've been told that traffic junky is one of the best ones out howerver I've also been told that because TJ is so popular it's not recommended for newbies because of the competition

Hey!
What type of offers do you want to run? Is it dating or adult subscriptions?
I recommend to try TJ, Exoclick, TrafficFactory. Also you can try POP sources: Plugrush, Clickadu, Exo has also POP.
I also heard a lot of times that you should not to start with the most popular sources, but it's not 100% true. I'm not a big adult man, but when I started, these sources gave me good results just on start!

Most good traffic sources are competitive to some degree. The big thing about Exoclick for me (and for TJ, so I am told), is narrowing down your placements. Being able to spend a little money to figure out which placements/sources/sites are good and which aren't. [Actually that's true of every place I've advertised, to one degree or another.] TBH it's taking me more time than I'd like. But it wouldn't be competitive if it weren't working for so many people.

One of the things I like about Exoclick and PopAds (which has adult traffic) is that you can sort by category. They're worth checking out if you haven't already. I believe SelfAdvertiser has adult traffic as well.

ZeroPark also has plenty of adult traffic. Like Exoclick, you might have to spend money exploring before you find out which placements to keep. I've been able to break even pretty quickly with a couple of Tier 3 Geos, but have had a horrible time with Tier 1 (even when it was a single U.S. state).

Traffic Junky, Exoclick, and Juicy Ads are good places to start for newbs. Not because it's low competition (because it's not), but because it's platforms are good places to learn the ropes.

Don't start in Tier 1, you will get killed. Start in Tier 2 if you must, but Tier 3 is even better for newbs especially if you have a low budget.

Thanks everyone for the feedback it's much appreciated. another question I had is about budget. Compared to what I've seen, My budget is relatively small. Is one thousand to three thousand dollars a good budget to start with when beginning?

Your budget is fine.

However since it is relatively small, you should definitely start in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 geo.

I think your budget is too small really for Tier 1 campaigns.

also is it better to use CPM or CPC when generating traffic in the adult field?

Most of the major platforms go by CPM. Plus CPM is better because the traffic is more consistent, and if you're good at designing banners (which you will have to be) , it will give you an advantage.

Also with CPC platforms if your banners suck and have low CTR, they will usually slow or stop your traffic altogether. While on a CPM basis the traffic source is getting paid so they could care less what your banner CTR is.

Hi eneal45, you can start with TrafficHunt - we offer premium traffic from the best sources in adult niche. It's simple to setup and optimize campaigns, and as a beginner, you will benefit from personal account support from advertising experts. With your budget you can start from testing various geos and spots to define, what converts best and not risk much.

Exoclick is newbie friendly for sure, for 2nd and 3rd tiers I would certainly give it a go first. As for 1st tier countries I recommend you to check Reporo

Every adult source is competitive, that's the nature of the "niche". Obviously, there are some sites that attract more competition than the rest, due to their size - for example xhamster, pornhub ... you will also see traffic from these sites in multiple networks.

The most important question for you now is where to get real traffic, because BOTs do not buy From what I know, trafficjunky is the least poluted network when it comes to bots, that's why it might be a good idea to start there. Next choices could be trafficstars and trafficfactory (CPC). Exoclick offers great targeting options and fast campaign approvals, so it's a very user friendly sources, but there is a TON of bot/crap placements in their network ... which makes them the least newbie friendly IMO. Unless you are about to run PIB submit offers and need 3G traffic, in that case, exo is your place to go.

Anyways, in order to save myself some time, I made a long thread for anyone willing to start in adult, have you seen that one?

Here it is : https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...here-you-start!

Also check this one to understand CPC vs CPM better : https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...-method-to-use

Try Clickadu Ad Network! User-friendly self-serve platform with real-time stats. And you can play the traffic estimator there before launching the campaign and adding funds.
