I ran into problems with Voluum.
I was trying to set up Voluum for 2 days and it was very difficult for me to understand how it works. As I think now I understand most of it. Please confirm that I think correctly.
1. When I add new traffic source and I want to track unique ID I need to use External ID and put their visitor id and then create postback with External ID. For example this is my url from Voluum to PropellerAds
http://ktexf.voluumtrk.com/b5b491ab-4735-46bd-b0ed-c7608fbb3545?zoneid={zoneid}&campaignid={campaigni d}&visitor_id=${SUBID}
I need to add in Voluum in field "External ID" visitor_id and then create postback url with visitor_id={externalid}
http://ad.propellerads.com/conversion.php?aid=91735&tid=22562&visitor_id={ext ernalid}
2. When I add new offer I need to add {clickid} to affiliate network parameter, I want to work with ClickDealer, so I need to use #s2#. So url must be http://c.clmbtrk.com/?a=52928&c=88302&E=I6uxYpRo6jY%3d&s2={clickid}
Then I need to add postback in ClickDealer so I use "cid" http://ktexf.voluumtrk2.com/postback...payout=#price#
And now I have the main question. I need to collect data about visitors to know which devices, carriers etc. are better for this offer, but to do this I need to know unique ID from start to the end.
How I can do this? Is "External ID" same as "clickid"?

Points #1 and #2 are correct. And Voluum will automatically track the device/carrier/etc, there is nothing additional you have to do.

I'm not sure what problems you are having?

My first report.
I have choose 3 offers in 2 Aff networks. I have tried 2 traffic sources, unfortunately zeropark dont want to approve my account(.
So this my stat and at first sight it looks hopelessly.

But really i made mistakes in each campaign, which I will try to change today. So I will write them from first campaign to last.
1. I choose adult offer and mainstream traffic and also I made wrong settings in Voluum for tracking "cost", so really i have lost $20.02
2. I made again wrong setting in Voluum, really i spend 1.07$ and have 10 convertions which brought me 3.20$.But I dont know why Aff network change status of offer to "paused". Now I am waiting for explanations from my manager. Also I dont know why Voluum shows 772 visits and Aff network shows 1099 clicks.
3. In this offer I had 2 convertions, which brought me 0.72$ revenue. Also I dont know why Voluum shows 10338 visits and Aff network shows 10829 clicks.

So now I am going to change my settings in Voluum to recieve right data and figure out why my profitable campaign was paused.

I received a response from the manager that campaign has schedule and today it is profitable.
Here are my results for the last 2 days.

1.So the main questions what I must do now? When do I need to stop unprofitable companies and at what ROI indicator?
2. Do I need to increase CPM bid on first profitable campaign or I need to change smth? By the way this campaing gave me 200ROI% yesterday per 772 visits.
3. Am I right that popunder ad need time to convert?
4. Do I need to stop campaigns #7,8?
Today I am going to start same campaigns in two more traffic sources.

04-13-2017 01:51 PM #7 Mr Payne (Member)

I would stop all campaigns except for your Thailand campaign, Phillipians and Indonesia. But first, put focus on improving and scaling Thailand.

You need to first run more traffic to the campaign, collect more data and then blacklist the bad segments or targets. That will let you remove some of the more obvious items that won't convert. Then you can test increasing your bid.

For the other two countries, you have a bad ROI but theres a good number of conversions so it may be worth running more traffic to see if there are any segments that are converting well enough to isolate just those profitable segments.

I did not succeed with increasing traffic to profitable campaign. Firstly, because it works only 8 hours and secondly Voluum shows that most of the conversions occur in the last hour. I also launched traffic to this offer with Exoclick, PopAds
But whatever there is no traffic and I have to bet 2 $ CPM for these small volumes.

All this time I was launching traffic directly to the offer without landing and as far as I understand CR will be much bigger If I will use right landing page? So I buy access to AdPlexity). What is average CTR for landing page?
This is how my campaigns look today.

As i understand now the right offer will not make you a millionare, until you find tons of cheap traffic. So now before creating new campains I will check for traffic volume.

I ran into a problem with targetting traffic from Exoclick by carrier. Campaign will be profitable if I find a way how to exclude traffic from other carriers. In Exoclick I select only "DTAC".

Profitable campaigns have no traffic, unprofitable campaigns have a lot traffic, but they are unprofitable(. When I try to optimize campaign and as soon as I achieve positiv results campaign die. For example this are daily results for one of my campaign.

And this happens to all my campaigns. Maybe I spend too much time for optimization?
I also tried to use Afflow, but because of the delay in approving a new campaign in Popads, when I start new campaign with country and carrier targeting its not working.

Also I launched a campaign with a landing page and it receive too much clicks, why it happens?

Bot traffic. Cut the placements. Try propellerads aswell, I guess you have offer for asian country. Propellerads has a lot of it, popads too.

04-18-2017 09:15 PM #12 Mr Payne (Member)

It's not always bot traffic. It could also be some error with your landing page code/scripts that is causing some crazy redirect loop or perhaps its designed that way.

If its just a couple high volume placements causing the high CTR then those are probably bot placements but its probably all of your placements are getting high CTR? If so, its likely the landing page.

I have had campaigns with 500%+ CTR, especially is some tier 2/3 GEO's that performed well and were not bot traffic, it was just how the traffic responded to the landing page.

9108 of 10,044 clicks was coming from one IP 101.51.85.241. By Voluum support recomedation I block this IP in IP/UA filtering tool.
Andrew, what is the average CTR for good landing page?

At first sight it is unprofitable, but yesterday it was very profitable, carrier 1 was giving me about 280% ROI until I change some settings(.

In traffic source I changed carrier settings to AIS only and after that conversions stoped. I thought that the main reason why there was no conversions is hour of day, so i decided to stop campaign until tomorow.

Today i start this campaign with only AIS selected and there was about 4500 visits and no conversions. I change carrier setting to all carriers and got 2 conversions and already -58% ROI.

I have 2 questions now:
1. What is the best hours for runnig campaign in Thailand/Global?
2. How to find right IP ranges for mobile carrier?

04-19-2017 01:42 PM #15 Mr Payne (Member)

It's very possible your bid needs to be higher when you set the campaign to just target AIS. That may be the reason you aren't getting conversions.

Not all sources allow you to target by IP ranges but one way to collect them is just to get conversions coming in and then see which ranges are converting, then update your target settings.

I need to bid higher for what? For more traffic? When I changed target to AIS only I recieved visits, but I stoped to receive conversions. If I increase bid I will get traffic from other websites?

04-19-2017 03:49 PM #17 Mr Payne (Member)

It's hard to say what the issue is, testing a higher bid might be worth checking out for a short period to see if bidding higher gets you traffic from the best placements.

Test adding a lander, etc.
