Need Help - How To Select URL's for your PPV campaigns

HI all,

i have a big confusion on how to select URL's for the campaign.

One choice is parent domain like "target.com"
Problem is that it has so much traffic that in few minutes you lose a lot with low clicks and zero conversion.

On other side there are long tail URL's lile

http://www.target.com/c/furniture-home-office-furniture (just an example)

these bring low or almost nil traffic and yet conversions again don't happen.

So how do you select the url set.
what is the strategy and anything that worked for you.

Hope seniors can share their view.

Thanks everyone

1 strategy is to pick url variations, like target.com, target.co target.c

the next is to scrape 100s of targets with affexpert (see video tutorial done by polarbacon), spend min budget (ie $5 on LI), and then keep the 10-15 URLs that pushed most traffic. test for those move to next few.

another is to go longtail, ie do a site:target.com search in google and grab those urls

or go for sub sections on the site: target.com/c/electronics - in this case note that targets mobile section is on a different url:

targetmobilestore.com

the list is endless really.
