Hello,
Following the instructions on the Mobile Cookbook Appetiser thread, I made my first campaign.
Tools used were
Affiliate network: Mobidea
Traffic source: Go2Mobi
Tracker:
BIG THANKS to Claudia from Mobidea Support, who stayed on the chat for 4 hours answering my silly questions about setting everything up.
TRAFFIC SOURCE
Anyway, I set up the traffic source as described in the Mobile Cookbook. The offer was mobile content for a certain carrier in Brazil, so I only whitelisted that carrier.
I also whitelisted only mobile devices as Mobidea offers tend to convert better on mobile than on desktop, and also because its the Mobile Cookbook (lol).
I added the banner provided under creatives, classifying them under image/jpeg and with the html code for the iframes. I only uploaded one banner.
Added some funds, set everything to active (as per Mobile Cookbook) and now its pending approval (traffic exchange and creatives).
TRACKER
I made a campaign in
Tried going to the tracking link myself, I wasn't in the GEO that I was playing in, so I got redirected. 1 click showed up in both Voluum and Mobidea trackers.
AFFILIATE NETWORK
Didn't really do much here, applied for an offer and asked for approval. Set the global postback in my account settings to my voluum subdomain.
Waiting for approval right now while I go to sleep

Questions:
Is there anything I am doing that is outright wrong?
Where does the server come in? I have a subscription with Liquid Web but no domain purchased. What is it for?
ooooo shit it's real
My first ever signup

$0.34 revenue. I realise that I'm bidding too low, got 17 clicks over 3 days.
Also messed up the tracking,
Hey!
Really nice having such a great feedback on our support, one more proof that guys are working hard and doing best they can
Also passed your message to Claudia, she's gonna be happy to see it !
It is only beginning of your campaign, so there is not much that you could be doing wrong. It's good you are starting your campaign with Auto-bidding on Go2Mobi, as it will adapt your bid all over the placements, but after you gather enough data and analyze your results make sure to use "Bid Overrides". You will have different bid for different placements inside the campaign. We also posted an article here on STM recently, reviewing Go2Mobi, have you checked already?
As for domains and servers, for now I see no need for you to start using it. Mainly it's used for pre-landers creation, we also have another article for you, quite simple explanation here
Good luck to you! I'll be following this thread, tag in case you need smth
