Adult Content vs Dating vs Cams vs PE ? Needing some direction and confirmation (8)

Hi everyone,

I've been testing different adult content campaigns on Exo, Popads, Zeropark, and popcash. I've had the most success with Exo so far just using afflow adult smart links. Still nothing profitable though.

I've spent $283.24 on popads, $458.39 on zeropark, $200 on popcash, $400 on Exo. Earnings have been roughly $600 mostly from afflow.

Before I load any more money into a traffic source I need to figure out my game plan.

I've since tried no longer using afflow and instead running my own adult content campaigns from the few networks I'm in, with my own landing pages.

However I’m having trouble knowing what a decent landing page looks like for this vertical.


With AV and sweeps it’s easy to know what the best landers are through adplexity. And the added variable of finding a winning landing page is removed because you already know you are using a solid landing page and chances are if the campaign isn’t working it's your offer/geo.

So I feel that I don't have the luxury of knowing my landing page is a proven winner, like if would be if i was running AV or sweeps.

When doing live spying I seem to mainly find dating, cams, and penis enlargement stuff and not really much adult content offers. (which further confuses me because i thought this was a good vertical to be in?)


I've really only found 1 or 2 adult content offer style landing pages, and they have been a very basic page with a bunch of video thumbnails.
Is that what people are using successfully?

Or it has been direct linking.
Are people mostly just doing direct linking with these adult content offers, or using landing pages?


If I could have confirmation of what a good adult lander looks like that would definitely help.

Should I focus on another adult vertical like dating or penis enlargement since that's what I'm seeing being run by other affiliates, or am I just looking in the wrong places and should stick with the adult content offers?


Also, in the adult content vertical, am I mostly competing against people cloaking and using iframes to hide the terms of service, and therefore not really competing at all?


How important is iframing the offer page if I’m going to make adult content successful?

For someone starting out in mobile adult pops which vertical is most recommended? Adult content, cams, Dating, PE ?

Hello Richard!

Adult content PINs are one of the few verticals that can still work direct-linked, that's why you don't see all that many LPs in spytools. And yes, the screens of videos, various warnings, exclusive areas etc ... style of landers are what people use for this vertical - not just adult, but content PINs in general. You are right about iframing, some affiliates are abusing this to the max, it's quite nasty thou and I'm absolutely not a fan of this.

Let me point out something, to make sure you're approaching this in the right way - these content PINs are carrier billing offers, so you MUST send 3G traffic to it, regular wifi will have very low conversions and it's almost impossible to profit on it.

Content PINs are certainly a good vertical for newbies, especially for POP traffic. Exo is the best adult source for 3G traffic, but the good stuff over there is in banners, not POPs from some reason.

Iframing offers its a different game then normal MB, first you need offers that can be iframed and additionally where the advertiser allows it, otherwise you will not get payed if you dont play with the rules. It comes mostly along with a way lower payout because of the risk the advertiser is taking and very often certain requirements from the advertiser to the affiliate regarding the sources.

There are so many markets where iframing is so hard that only some super crazy hacker teams make it happen. Recently a lot of german offers had to deal with that problems that made it even neccessary for programs to shut down Mediabuyers from their programs.

Ask your AM what carriers he currently has in the system that are eighter already running aggressive or where nothing aggressive is happening at all to avoid competing against this guys... If you run super clean flows then you need definetively a prelander even when its Direct Carrier billing. A lot of the good landers are protected in the meantime from the spytools and 3G offers are anyway not scanned, so get only some inspiration only, read the stuff people suggest here and then create your own stuff. Play with the curiosity of the people! This has currently the most success....

Just one input, its not about you running clean, its about the offer being not aggressive. Take for example Iraq Asiacell, this has at the moment a super aggressive flow. It is clean because thats the regulation for this market. There you dont need a prelander running clean. If you go for example to Germany and you run clean you need it because the flow is super duper shitty and without a prelander you have a CR of 3000:1 if your traffic is not from native or FB.
