Hi,
I just started to test adult traffic and I started with plugrush. I setup a banner us desktop campaign and
installed a hotjar screen recording pixel
But what I found is so weird.
1st part of traffic is from device (or bot?) with resolution 323x345. It seems to be from desktop device but wtf is this?

2nd part of traffic getting 404 error. But as I tested the site in pingdom and everywhere and it works fine. Also the 404 looks weird to me

3rd part of traffic can load a site properly, but is on the site 0.00s.

4th part is standard traffic, but the amount of it is quite low compared to others
Does anyone have experience with something like that? Is it the problem on plugrush or is it me who do something wrong?
Thanks for your inputs
I'm not familiar with Hotjar, but the reports look weird ... for example #13 in the last screenshot : 2 pages visited and 0:00 time on site? Is there a possibility that you configured something in a wrong way?
But anyways, plugrush is one the most bot-heavy sources out there. There are tons of sites that are built just to sell bot crap, you need to blacklist a ton of them in order to stand a chance with that traffic. Once you manage to sort through the crap, there is quite a lot of solid traffic volume too. Just keep an eye on the best placements, as they are added all the time
Thanks,
It should be set up correctly so I assume that there is more bots that I expected.
It is my first campaign on adult and I'm quite confused by the high bounce rates (88%) when I compare it to different traffic sources.

And I have much lover ctr on the LP than I expected.
Where do you think is a main issue? Not filtered bots or bad LP?
Can you advice best adult network when it comes to percentage of bot traffic?
As Matej said, Plugrush has a lot of bots (which doesn't exactly mean it's not a good source!), so you have to cut heavily.
There are group of people who are making websites just to steal money from advertisers, literally.
You will see that once you block a couple of similar domains (they like to use same TLDs) in few days they will pop up again and again with same/similar designs just different domains.
So need to block them heavily.
Other then that I don't know, I never used analytics or any other user tracking software on my affiliate landing pages
Keep one thing in mind : a user is considered a "bounce" when they only load 1 page and do not browse the site further. With some LPs, it's not possible to actually browse anything, so all traffic will look like bounced. Don't let that confuse you.
For higher quality traffic, you can test trafficjunky for example, they only manage a couple of sites, so the BOT level is low. I see you are using exoclick too, you can focus on the premium sites to keep BOT % down too.
What kinda LP CTRs are you seeing on your LP? Is this mobile or desktop traffic? GEO has large influence on LP ctrs too.
Hey thanks a lot guys. I'm running similar LP where I was used to have about 10-20% ctr on FB. Now on adult traffic after 400 clicks I have 2 clicks on the offer :-)
But before about hour ago I didn't know that I need to create bot traps, cut placements based on this data and things like that. So I can see that I should focus on learning basics of "how to run adult" :-)
Try a source like trafficjunky first, to see what the performance is like from low-bot placements. It will be easier for you to identify really bad placements in networks like plugrush.
