Voluum, go2mobi, appflood setting help needed (newbie)
Hi Guys,
I am a newbie in AM and I set up my first campaign with no results yet.
So I went back to check all my settings and I found that I cannot visualize my offer (with the right IP and android emulator), so I want to make sure my links are all working.
Can someone help me to check if everything is correct?
I post some screenshots:
I am using appflood as affiliate netwotk and my offer screenshoot is following:

then my go2mobi settings are as following:

Voluum's campaign link pasted into destination url:
http://xxxxx.voluumtrk.com/xxxxxf22-d8d1-4e42-xxxxx-ecdf8cef24ca?pln={pln}&plid={plid}&crid={crid}&isp ={isp}&uid={uid_deviceid}&country={country}&brand= {device_vendor}&model={device_model}&os={os}&age={ age}&cid={clickid}
and finally some Voluum screenshoots here:

got an offer auto-link from appflood to paste it into voluum's offer url:
http://atracking-auto.appflood.com/transaction/post_click?offer_id=xxxxxxx&aff_id=xxxxx&aff_sub={ clickid}

using single CTA link on LP (one offer only):
http://xxxxx.voluumtrk.com/click
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi roykoda,
Ok, let's start at the top-level, with the adjustments for the traffic source conversion tracking.
As Go2Mobi's postback URL requires an API key from your G2M account, you'll need to obtain and update it within your G2M template (postback URL) within Voluum.
Follow the steps below to retrieve your G2M account's API key and update your template in Voluum;
- On the Go2mobi platform, click the “Account” tab at the top of the page
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue “Conversion Tracking”
- In the “Conversion Tracking” panel, you will notice a URL that starts with http://pb.g2trk.com. Highlight the string of numbers and letters immediately following apikey=, ending at &clickid. It should look something like this: H1dSMkSTAF13YSOrBCBfEqi1JrtuLhOLjGCvRax8JY187rmHy7 k7hKjgzjJTHQ17Q
This is your unique API key. Copy your API key to your clipboard. - Go back to Voluum and navidate to your Go2Mobu template.
- Highlight “REPLACE” within your postback URL field, and paste your API key in its place.

- Click “Save”
SOURCE - G2M's KB
With this correction, your conversion tracking between Voluum and Go2Mobi
should be good.
Next, as AppFlood is using HasOffers parameters / tokens, it's recommended to use the
{aff_sub2} instead of {aff_sub} in both your offer and postback URLs.
Update your AppFlood offer URL in Voluum to end with
aff_sub2=, and then also update your Voluum postback URL on AppFlood to include the token
{aff_sub2}.
Note: As you have ticked the option to append Voluum's click ID automatcally for AppFlood offers, there's no need to then also manually add the token
{clickid} to your AppFlood offer URL in Voluum.
This option will
append cid to the end of the URL, so it's required to have an empty parameter for cid at the end also.
Be wary of this if you intend to pass additional data tokens to your offer URLs in future.
Golden rule: CID auto-append = CID parameter at the end (offer URL)
Once you've made the above changes, it will only be required to preview your campaign URL to check if Voluum's click IDs are passed correctly to AppFlood.
You can preview the campaign from your Voluum panel, or you can paste the campaign URL in your browser.
Afterwards, check the subid 2 report on AppFlood to check if click ID strings are present for your visits.
Note: Voluum click IDs are 24 characters in length and generally begin with a lowcase
d or
w.
Once confirmed, you'll be all set to start running traffic to your campaign.
Hope this helps, and let me know if you need any further assistance.
Best,
Adrian

Hello Adrian,
I have two more questions:
1) How can I track costs in my Voluum reporting section?
2) How can I track placements in my reporting section? Can I whitelist and blacklist placements on Voluum or that must be done on traffic source panel?
Thanks!

Hi roykoda,
As Go2Mobi doesn't currently support a dynamic token to pass campaign cost data, you'll need to opt for one of the fixed cost models in your Go2Mobi campaign settings in Voluum.
For Go2Mobi campaigns, this will be set to the CPM cost model
IF they support the addition of an impression tracking pixel from Voluum. -
It's worth to doublecheck this with a rep from G2M
If an impression pixel is supported, then you will toggle this option within your G2M template in Voluum.
Once impression tracking is toggled in your G2M template, an impression pixel will be generated for your G2M campaigns in Voluum.
This will be placed on their end when uploading creatives OR within a HTML creative you have created (depending on which is supported).
Note: Given that the CPM bid will be subject to change when you're running your campaign, you may want to periodically perform a manual cost update for your G2M campaigns in Voluum for the actual cost amounts to be accurate.
We have a dedicated KB article on how to do so
here.

Based off the predefined G2M template in Voluum - Go2Mobi's placement variables are mapped to the var1 (Placement Name) and var2 (Placement ID).
To gauge placement performance, you will reference either of these variables in your Voluum campaign reporting and group them with additional variables to get deeper insights.
For example, you could group offer + placement ID + Creative ID to determine the best / worst performing placements / creatives relative to your campaign's offers.
It would then be required to alter your campaign targeting for placements / creatives on Go2Mobi's end based on the results shown in Voluum.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Adrian
