Looking for some help (sweepstakes)
I'm looking for some advice for running some sweep offers on FB. I have experience in regular media buying for CPA offers, however FB is a whole new game. I've got a lander which works very well, however I cannot seem to get good ads with good CTR's and CPC's. What kind of things usually work best? For example, I am promoting a sweep for a popular retailer and would think that using an image which shows a real person holding some products of said retailer would create higher CTR's than say a regular picture of some shopping bags. But as said, relevance and CTR is very low. Maybe my images are not good or maybe even my interests that I am targeting are wrong/too broad.
If you have some tips or maybe want to talk on Skype, let me know

1. Target only retailer specific, women 30+ (so retailer campaign is Zara, target Zara likes only)
2. Test 15 images (from shopping bags, to store windows, to Zara instore, to Zara employees) in 5 different ad sets
3. Pick the best images, start playing with some text (agressive, or totally not agressive)
This would probably result in some good ads :-)

Thanks a lot, those are already some very good thing to start with!

The offer I am using now is converting really well, getting the people towards the offer is the main issue. But thanks for the tip anyway!
Now I've had minor succes in getting ads with good relevance score (around 9), but as soon as I scale CPC's increase incrementally.
Also do you guys use the option of "expand interests if it may increase conversions at a lower cost"?

How fast do you scale, how big is your potential audience and with how many % you increase budgets?
Good to hear your relevancy increased!
If you find a winning ad with real low cpc/high relevancy, milk it on current audience and simultaneously launch it on "women 35+" without any interest for example.

I scaled from 25e DB to 75e DB. Furthermore my target audience is around 4.2 million in size, but that is with using the option of "expand interests" that Facebook provides.
Thats a good tip, thanks!
Has anybody used video ads to promote sweepstakes before?

If you scale per day like 50-100% it should be stable for a while. Make sure you increase budget somewhere in the morning/begin afternoon ofcourse. Otherwise FB will burn your budget with expensive clicks.
I have done video with sweeps yeah, especially food/recepy vids for a supermarket voucher do well!

Video Ads for Facebook Ads? It does seem like you're onto something
As @stickupkid has said, food videos for supermarket vouchers can be a good idea. The goal is for you to generate interest in whatever users will be able to win, by showing videos of people enjoying whatever prize is at stake. You could make a video review of a new iPhone, online shopping, travelling to the most exotic places, etc.
Plus, video is a format that Facebook really wants to promote and where the future of this social platform is. So you can give it a try

We're finding a lot of success running sweeps & lead gen on facebook. Buy a cheap domain that associates to the content. Set up social media profiles to mirror the domain, RSS feeds from similar blogs and sites are a good idea to add....Anything FREE catches attention & generates organic traffic. Think like a consumer, not a webmaster...what would they be searching for???? For instance freeonlinestuff / freestuffonline / freegifts / freemoney / deals etc you get the idea
Got a few that I'm doing a lot of volume with atm

Hi!
Be careful with the word "Free". I agree that it catches attention, but also - misleads, and advertisers/operators forbid it in most of cases. It is always better to recheck it with the AM before using, otherwise an affiliate is at risk to be banned.
