Facebook campaign started but no stats

Hi everyone

I have my own offer (VSL style) and I'm trying to take advantage of Facebook very granular targeting.

So I created a business manager account, a campaign with 3 ad sets ($5/day each, CPM, each targeting a small audience based mostly on different interests).

I received traffic - I saw visitors on my site and clicks in the tracking software... but... Facebook interface has no stats... no impressions, no clicks, no CTR or CPM.

The ads are still Active, it's been 2-3 days since I started.

If I duplicate an ad set then I get traffic, probably for $5/day, but then it stops and next day doesn't receive anymore.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Hey Alex!

My guess would be that your ads are not running yet, are you sure you are not getting visitors from elsewhere besides FB Ads?

Could you please provide some more details, as what kind of bidding are you using, automatic or manual? And also would be useful to know the type of campaigns, have you set it as website clicks/post engagement/etc..?

You put on automatic bidding? If no, you bid might be too low to receive proper traffic.

You saying, no stats in FB, but clicks in software (might be FB bot clicks, please check geo/ip adresses if your clicks are real customers). But when you duplicate, it burns 5 dollar a day? So you see stats after duplication?

If you don't get any traffic, but ads still active, FB might be checking your account manually (or it's banned already!).

Thanks Mobidea and Stickupkid!

I don't receive visitors from elsewhere, because I created a landing page specifically for Facebook and this is the page that gets visitors (I check in Google Analytics).

I have manual bidding set up at $10 per purchase. Since the payout is $44 per sale I guess I can increase this... or should I move to automatic?

The campaigns are aiming for conversions (not website clicks or post engagement) .. I hope I understood what you asked..

I just created a new ad set and the visitors IP are recognized as bots by http://tools.tracemyip.org

So it seems that I didn't receive traffic after all...

and I could create only 2 accounts in the business manager settings - You've reached the maximum number of ad accounts associated with this Business Manager account. This limit helps prevent potential abuse and fraud.

So this means I'm probably banned?
Thanks!

So your visits are all bot visits, and you made no cost on FB? If your accounts are new it could take some time to be "released" and you probably need to verify your ID soon. But I think it's manually checked at the moment so I should have some patience.

The # of accounts in business manager defaults to 2, then you'll have to contact them to up it.

As I've understood, you've setup the Facebook pixel on your landing page, making it possible to optimize your campaigns by conversions, right? Did you follow all the steps, to make sure it's well implemented, or you had tried such an approach before, and it had worked?

I'm also curious about the amount of visitors you have received so far, because if Facebook isn't counting them (as in, there are no stats or counted traffic available yet, in your Business Manager), it looks like you're receiving free traffic for some reason.

On the other hand, FB bots have visited your website through your newest ad, but which still hasn't generated traffic either. Has this campaign been approved?

I've made a fake account for this, so I can't provide a valid ID... there's no way use a Business Manager account without a valid personal account?

Yes, I setup the Facebook pixel on my upsell page (the first one after conversion). The pixel it's green so it should be ok, right? I followed the steps when using Google Tag Manager.. Base pixel on all pages + purchase code on TY page.

138 visitors since yesterday, when I deleted the stats (I wanted clean records without my clicks).

The campaign is in Active state, and still no stats...

If your fake account isn't warmed up you probably get banned very quick, especially with VSL....

Thanks stickupkid for taking the time to reply... I just read what means to warm up the account...

I have an update here... the campaign finally started after :

1. I created a product page
2. I promoted the product page and viewers started to like and share it.

Then, miraculously, I started receiving traffic on the offer campaigns.

I'm reading the whole forum section looking for clues on what to do next so I don't screw something up. Any indications will be greatly appreciated

One question: I used a Debit Card registered in Europe and my account is set up in Panama. Can I use the same card on a different account or this will get me banned?
Or if I want to create another product page I should put it under the same business manager account? (I'd prefer to keep them separated if possible until I'm very sure what offers are allowed on FB)

Thanks!

You should take advantage from your business manager account.Make that account reliable for facebook. Meaning use it with care, and follow their policies. If you do so, you will have less chances to get banned. When your account is reliable enough, aggregate other pages/campaigns to it. The main advantage, is that you are always using the same payment method.

In other words, do not run your ads in fresh accounts. Make them as reliable as possible. Remember that with one single account, you can manage several pages and campaigns.
