Advice on verticals for China

Hi all :-)

I would like to give a try to the Chinese GEO. It looks like the is good potential looking at stats about internet usage and ecommerce growth, so it can be good for affiliate marketing too :-)

Is anyone already running traffic there? Any advice on what vertical is hot in China or that is converting there?

Any advice/comment is more than welcome :-)

Not running myself but mobile games are quite hot there and also ecommerce. By ecommerce I mean also shopping apps, advertising certain products from an existing store, etc. Not building your own store.

China has its own specific traffic sources so getting the traffic there can be a bit challenging, especially if you want decent volume.

If you don't have experience there already, I'd suggest connecting either with a Chinese affiliate or with one of the big Chinese affiliate networks. They can be your door towards the market.

I found out a couple of Chinese affiliate networks too, but it would be nice to see if you got something to advice there too :-)

We had good results back then with Games that have a comic character, Something like Anime but more chinese I talked now in Barcelona long with Chinese people and for them are also APKs still very interesting on Android because they have the Google Play store not available or with big restrictions...

I don't have a Chinese affiliate I can put you in touch with unfortunately.

As for affiliate networks, I work personally with MobVista for over a year and they certainly have a foothold in Chinese traffic and offers.

I am not sure if it's as easy as just signing up with them, for you purpose... But that's step 1 anyway.

Other big affiliate networks from China are YeahMobi, Avazu, AppFlood/Papaya. If you ran any international offers with Chinese networks, then it's best to talk to them first and continue from there - they should be able to guide you for getting traffic in China, plus there's already an established working relationship.

I see there are some online casino accepting Chinese customers. Did anyone ever tried running those offers in China?

Honestly I can not recall it, was some years ago in our old open X system. But we were the first ones accepting adult traffic in China (at least from the companies that are more adult focused) - was good business for around 2-3 month
