I'm working on a camp on PropellerAds a the moment, and had a nice steady flow of traffic coming in this morning. I saw that my budget ($15) was about to be spend, just near the end of a split test. I was working on getting a couple landers put together to start my next split test, as I had narrowed down to best performing offer, so I wasn't stressed, and figured I would re-up and let the traffic flow again as soon as I finished getting the landers put together.
I got my new landers up, modified my
I understand that it can take a little time to get my pops back into rotation, but after 45 minutes/1 hour? From 'full-flow' to DEAD? I can't figure it out.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this might happen? Should I clone the camp at the T.S. and let it 'restart' from there??
UPDATE:
Maybe I'm just a paranoid basket-case.... LOL. After spending some time wondering where my traffic was, I decided to "pause" the camp on propeller, go for a walk, then 10-15 mins later I pressed "play" again, and now the traffic has returned.
So for whatever it's worth, I guess that's what I'll do next time. Still seems odd, but hey, whatever works?
Propeller has huge inventory and can consume the daily budget in a few minutes if your bid is around the suggested average.
If traffic stopped to come in it could be one of the following:
- You may have slightly altered the campaign link, in which case would put the campaign in moderation mode and waiting for a review from the compliance team.
- You may have aggressively excluded some high volume sites that matched your bid level.
- Changed the Ad Delivery method from Standard to Distributed.
In case you changed the Ad Delivery method to Distributed, that will start send small portions of traffic almost hourly distributed through the day.
Just like our computers, camps sometimes need a reboot to get going again.
(BTW love the reason you put for editing your post.)
