When do you give up on a traffic spot? (3)
So Im running an offer in a Tier 2 geo on a mobile spot. (300x100 mobile header spot)
The website is legit big name site, and Im able to get a pretty good CPC.
However no matter what I do I cannot get my LP CTR above 15% on this spot. Doing the math, even with a good CVR (15% CVR) I think I'd need to be around 22-25% LP CTR to make this offer work.
I know people say "Don't focus on LP CTR", but at the end of the day, the math is the math. I've literally tried dozens of LPs and also a ton of banners/angles with no luck.
I'm also concerned because there is very little competition for this spot. I think there are like 1 or 2 other bidders, which makes me wonder whether or not this is a "hidden gem" or a complete dud. lol :P
I guess the question is how long do you guys stay on a spot before moving on?
I'd like to get this spot to work because the volume/quality is good, maybe just more testing?

It's not easy to get mobile ctr over 20% and some of these 300x100 spots are just weird - isn't it the youjizz spot? That was giving me a hard time too ...
With some spots, you simply can't go over certain CTR, in that case, you simply have to convert better or abandon it.
In rare cases, 50 LPs bomb in a spot and then some simply starts to work ... without any clear reason... could be the case here too.
