POPS: is it recommended to inflate CTR?

I'm getting CTR of about 30-35% for mobile pops, AV vertical at the moment
And I'm wondering how I can further test my landers to improve their CTR

I understand that you can actually inflate your CTR by adding scripts like backbutton and auto-redirects after a certain length of time.
Are there any other type of scripts that can be used for this? (to improve AND/OR inflate CTR)

However, do you recommend that it's good to inflate your CTR? (Since we always talk about comparing REVENUE rather than CTR)
Won't that be giving a false sense of the results/revenue? (since higher CTR = lower CR)
Eg. backbutton to redirect to offer or autoredirect after a certain time

(I've currently disabled backbutton to stay at the lander so as to force the user to click the button to proceed to offer page)

Why would higher CTR mean lower CR?

You are looking at the metric the wrong way and calculating the CR based on how many users click on your lander. You should calculate it based on how many people visited it.

The answer is rather simple when it comes to whether or not you should use those scripts: split test it.

If you check on AdPlexity, you can see that they are standard to use by just about everyone... Might be a reason

Back button definitely boosts your CTR, but remember that forcing a user to click does not guarantee more conversions. Also, the percentage you are showing is not that bad, maybe there is something else you should focus on, to improve the overall result?

As @manu_adefy mentioned, higher CTR does not mean lower CR, there are several factors affecting it.

Analyze the rest of your stats, are these good CTR landers bringing you good revenue? Might be that focusing only on CTR you don't notice potential of one of some landers.
