Hosting server alternatives? (12)

Hosting server alternatives?

Hi everybody!

I think that a lot of affiliates are using Amazon S3 to host landing pages but because server crashes, issues or possible problems of any kind can occur, can you suggest some low-cost yet well working alternatives?

I know about Beyond Hosting but in my ignorance it seems to me quite expensive, especially if the only need is to host html pages for pops.

Any idea?

I'm using rackspace cloud files for simple stuff like this, works well for me

I am using Liquidweb VPS at $79/mo. My server is located at the US, so the loading time at the US and Canada is great. But anywhere else is crap

@matuloo. I've taken a look at the website, and it looks like it's not expensive at all: First TB is $0.10/GB/mo. Even with a lot of html pages you don't reach 1GB in short time, and it seems to cover all the world

What's your specific concern with using S3? That'll help me narrow down alternatives for you.

First of all I want to point out that I'm ok with it . Anyway, yes I'm a bit worried about the fact that some issues may occur and we may have no place where to host our landing pages. For example this week it happened and we all know that hosting (but also affiliate marketing in general) is subject to unforeseen events.

All that I'd like to have is an alternative to rely on if some server crash or issue will occur.

Any feedback on Azure?

If you want a simple alternative to S3, probably the best thing to do is to just mirror your entire S3 bucket to Google Cloud Storage.

It's easy to do, Google's Cloud offering is great, and the chances of both being down at the same time are basically zero.

Yes thank you. Also what Matuloo suggested is very good. So now I have 3 different options for hosting my landers.

Great, it's always a good idea to not hold all your eggs in one basket
