Well, everyone knows there could be legal consequences to using someone else's image without their authorization. Shouldn't there also be some if you call yourself a doctor when you are a snake oil salesman?

Guys that do this have their company set up in hong kong, BVI, gibraltar or belize. Extremely hard to find who's behind the site to start with, and then if you do starting up a legal procedure in one of those tax havens will lead you nowhere

Things that made me scratch my head:

Forgetting to buy WHOIS protection for a shady website.
Agreeing to go on camera for any conversation
Claiming to make only "300k/year"
Everyone in the audience thinking 300k/year is a lot of money. (is it? Dr Oz makes that much a month).
Advertiser pitching to Barbara Corcoran like it's sharktank.
Everyone feeling sorry for the advertiser.

----------

Now affiliates pushing this offer can genuinely claim "as seen on Dr. OZ," since Dr. Oz literally discussed this product in his show.

As an advertiser having credit card processing, which the nutra trials of course do, you can't have WHOIS on your domain.
At least you need some shady ass processor then.

hmm what do you mean? Assuming they are incorporated, any business assets (including the domain) should never be registered in a personal name

Well sorry I think I missed your point then. I am not sure how it is in the United States when it comes to privacy of the CEO of a company, but where I am from in Europe this can be looked up pretty fast in an official database. This is also including personal address etc.

I just assumed she was looking up the CEO of the company and went there.
