how long before offer conversion postback registers?

as the thread title,

How long usually does it take for an offer conversion to be fired and then registered as a conversion and postback to tracker? (I'm using Voluum)

Speaking in general for all PIN submits and app install mobile offers

It depends on the offer, basically. The postback should fire immediately.

You need to ask what is conversion point in which the pixel fires. App install - is it when the user downloads the app? Installs it? Reach a certain level? Watch tutorial?

But in general, like I said, it should fire as soon as there is a conversion.

Can be some delays in terms of servers and stuff like that, but even with that it shouldnt really be noticeable.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I'm asking because I've sent about 5.6k clicks to a mobile app install offer (conversion fires once installed and opened - double checked with my AM) - Sent it about 3 hours ago
And now, I'm checking my stats to see 0 conversions at all for a $0.10 payout offer

Anyone have any ideas?

I've checked the offer link with an android phone - it works
I've set my global postback link with my AM

Hey,

Remember, that Install offers are KPIs and sometimes clicks are registered first, and later conversions are recorded, because the KPIs are met by users just after the clicks and installs. So the time that it takes for pixel to be fired depends mostly on user's flow, as it was mentioned before. But in general, app-installs conversions sometimes take longer to appear.

Double check your postback settings, check if the parameter for conversion is correct (as in different networks tokens might be different). Also, it's possible that statistics of your network updates slower, than stats of Voluum, which is live. Ask your AM if it might be connected with their server.

Can be that the offer is just not the best, consider checking other options.. and while we are checking it here together, keep an eye to not spend too much with no ROI
Hope you solve it soon!

App installs are known for reporting conversions even for several days after the traffic stops - it's the because of the required steps for a conversion to be considered valid : download, install and OPEN. Many people download several apps at once and then launch them one by one ... sometimes they forget about some and discover them later on. There can also be problems with installing - full memory for example ... there are several reasons for a late conversion.

PIN submits is another vertical where it happens a lot, especially in asian countries ... India is very known for this for example. I guess it has to do with the prepaid cards or some kind of billing verification.

But it's also possible that you simply chose an app that is not performing or your traffic is not working ... the later installs or conversions represent only part of the installs, it's not that all of them would come in late.

Every offer and geo is different.

Most of the time it takes few minutes (with 1-click offers it can be even seconds).

You must count in the time it takes from initial click to get through the landing page to filling in the offer.

Also some offers send back postback in batches like every 10 minutes.

There was one offer last year that sent back postbacks at certain time the next day.

Most people considered that offer dead and probably stop it running as they didn't see any conversions coming in.

I on the other side was patient & ready to take the risk and banked solid 5 figures with it.
